Today's....A world of Fantasy page for....
is all digital, well apart from one of my own base layers.
On the left is a photo of a few of my starter layers. I was thinking about the feelings that we get when reading a book and how the love of reading started for me very young. We had no TV back then, just the radio. So it was the books that played an important part in my childhood.
Fantasy and the world of make believe, through the written world is something very special.
As an adult reading was and is, all about learning, as well as an escape from reality.
Where would our fantasies take us without books.
Thank you for stopping by, I always appreciate the comments you leave for me here.
I agree that books have played a big part of my life, too. From higher education studies, to pure fantasy and make believe, I too have enjoyed the escape books give us. Your digital entry is out of this world. The way you left everything black and white except the rabbit simply amazed me. This is a true beauty, and I love that you shared it as part of your theme today at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great fantasy page. I love the characters which could be in any child's fairy tale. And the child sitting down. Clever. happy Monday. Hugs-Erika

ReplyDeleteI love this page Yvonne! I used to love books as a child (still do of course!) I also remember listening to War and Peace on the radio which encouraged me to get the book from the library so I could find what would happen next! I was disappointed when I saw it on TV as it was nothing like I had imagined it to be! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome and beautiful page Yvonne !! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI really like these children's books, they made us dream, they delighted us, and also, they made us thinking a little bit. And for us, the children, they were not fantasies ... they were reality !!
I love your page!
I wish you a very happy thursday, big hugs, Caty
