We're all going.... to the beach and the garden

My last page for Chris's theme this month over at  Art Journal Journey
A  digital page, the youngsters are having fun on the beach, I hope the ice lollies don't get dropped in the sand.
or......
perhaps for me a return visit to Floors Castle in the Scottish borders where we were back in May.

I imagine the gardens have changed a lot  over the weeks. These well looked after apple trees against the wall will look  so different to the ones that we allow to grow as they wish in our garden

Our trees  are full f fruit, this one  with cooking apples, nearly ready to use. [you can see a photo of my trees in blossom here]
These apples in the next photo  will be for eating straight from the tree
by September....they need to grow a bit and sweeten up.

My T day reference today to join friends over at Bleubeard and Elizabeths
is this happy cup and pot  my tea came in,
with the lunch we had in the castle cafe.
There is something  about dotty china that makes me feel happy when I see it.
I had locally caught salmon made into fishcakes,
himself was tempted to home made pie.

Thank you for calling in to see me , I hope you all have a good day.

splatters and splodges at TioT's

A new challenge theme is starting today over at
  Try it on Tuesdays............

.......................Splatters and Splodges
WE had fun with this theme, please pop over for all the details, we hope you will join us there.

My base layers were simply blended distress oxide inks sprayed with water and left to dry out A few extra splashes of colour   a flower stamp and Birthday sentiment completed my card.  .

Thank you for calling in today, you are always very welcome here.

We're all going to..... sparkle.............

I have managed to complete another journal page that has been sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks now. I took an easy option  again and completed it in the digital program I use. I can sit relaxed with my feet up and the Lap top computer  resting on my knee.

This photo of work in progress shows my drink of choice on these warm days, my bottle of water. I keep a few topped up with tap water in the fridge, so handy and cool to drink.
This will also get me to say hello to friends over at Bleubeard and Elizabeths where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post.
I coloured the stamped   faces with pastels using the tip of a cotton bud, I know I need more practise, but it will have to wait a while longer.
I will also  join  Chris's theme over at
Art Journal Journey.....   E're all going....
Well these girls are going to sparkle, sing and dance.
i wish I had the energy.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope that however you spend the day it will be a good one.
I have scheduled this post and will call  by as soon as I can.

Colour Crazy

A  watercolour base for this selection of stamped figures, which were fussy cut to go on the background.
I  added the words and finished the page in the digital program I use.
Colour  crazy is a usual state of mind for me, I love colour and although it has taken me a lot longer to complete this journal page it was good to get a bit inky again.

I will add this to Chris's theme of....
We're all going

Also a reminder for the current  theme over at Try it on Tuesdays......Colours of the Rainbow which ends on Monday evening.

Thank you for calling in today and for all your much appreciated  messages and friendship.

Tuesday musings.

A page for Art Journal Journey and Chris's theme We're all going.....
Two weeks and more into July and I am just sharing my July calender page.
If I were to show you it filled in so far, it would mostly read doctors appointments.
What I thought was  flu bug turned out to be other health issues,  medications etc need to be sorted out. I hope to get reunited with my craft room for a bit longer soon , my energy levels are low and  I can only manage short periods of time.

I am calling in today to  say hello to friends over at Bleubeard and Elizabeths where out lovely hosts have invited us to  their 6th Anniversary gathering. A blog where everyone is always made to feel very welcome.

I created this digital collage for the event.
I hope the cats will enjoy a bowl of creamy milk while we all enjoy out beverage of choice.
Happy T day wishes everyone, I may be late calling to see everyone, but I promise I'll be there as soon as I can

Colours of the Rainbow at TioT's

Colours of the rainbow....
is the new theme over at Try it on Tuesdays

Please pop over for all the details and see how the DT interpreted this theme.

I used distress oxides  for my rainbow coloured
background. Then decided to have fun
and be colourful with the images I used for the page as well.
The scene was created using  a variety of stamps, some I fussy cut after colouring on a separate piece of light card.

I even took courage and  scribbled my own borders to frame the page.

Thank you for calling in and I hope you will join us over at TioT's and enjoy our colourful theme.
