We're all going.... to the beach and the garden

My last page for Chris's theme this month over at  Art Journal Journey
A  digital page, the youngsters are having fun on the beach, I hope the ice lollies don't get dropped in the sand.
or......
perhaps for me a return visit to Floors Castle in the Scottish borders where we were back in May.

I imagine the gardens have changed a lot  over the weeks. These well looked after apple trees against the wall will look  so different to the ones that we allow to grow as they wish in our garden

Our trees  are full f fruit, this one  with cooking apples, nearly ready to use. [you can see a photo of my trees in blossom here]
These apples in the next photo  will be for eating straight from the tree
by September....they need to grow a bit and sweeten up.

My T day reference today to join friends over at Bleubeard and Elizabeths
is this happy cup and pot  my tea came in,
with the lunch we had in the castle cafe.
There is something  about dotty china that makes me feel happy when I see it.
I had locally caught salmon made into fishcakes,
himself was tempted to home made pie.

Thank you for calling in to see me , I hope you all have a good day.

  6. I love your fun beach page Yvoone - those lollies look esepcially cool and delicious!
Your apple trees look lovely and full - assuming in a few months you might be very busy pie making etc :)
Still hot and sticky down here (and I'm still moaning about it ha ha) but looks like being an unsettled week with blustery showers.
Hope you are feeling much better.... Gill xx

  7. What an adorable digital page you created for Chris's theme at Art Journal Journey. I had to laugh at the thought the children might drop the "ice lollies" (we call them Popsicles) in the sand. It's so fun and a great entry for AJJ, too.

Now THAT is a castle, Yvonne. It is humungus. I can't begin to wonder what it would cost to heat it. The grounds are beautiful and the apple tree is unique. YOUR apple trees are amazing. To live somewhere I could step outside and pick my own fruit is really mind blowing.

That is an adorable tea service. I agree that the "dotty" china is fun. Thanks for sharing it with us, as well as your art for T this Tuesday. I hope YOU are feeling better, too.

  12. What a fun going to the beach page. It makes me smile. OH, I miss my apple trees! These look bigger than mine ever got, though. And they are heavy on that tree; I can see that! Are you feeling better this week? I do hope so. Lovely post. Happy T Day.

  15. A really happy beach page, Yvonne. Yes I think the ice lollies are looking a bit unstable, hope she catches them in time. I love the bunting too.
That is a great crop of apples and the cooking ones look large already.
Maybe a visit to the castle would be a good idea just now as the castle might be cool inside (all the thick walls)?

  17. Fun piece. There’s a little beach on the island where I’m taking the workshop. No children as I visit the beach at sunrise to do some meditation, but it’s a happy place just the same. That castle is pretty cool. I wonder if there’s a fun tea service like the polka dot one. Looks like you’ll have a fine crop of apples.Happy T Day
