The theme for August hosted by
Gill.... over at
I decided to use this stencil background in my journal which I had stamped and coloured an image. I cannot remember what I thought I would add next The solution, for now was to add some digital images and finish it off in the digital computer program I use. These hybrid mixed pages may be appearing a few times in the coming days on my blog , It is allowing me to get creative again . Digital isn't my preferred style but it is a good way to complete the half finished and just started pages in my journal that seem to be gathering dust just now in my craft room.
Thank you for stopping by, you are always welcome here.
Gorgeous face on a fantastic background, great colours, too. Good to see you crafting and playing again. Have a nice weekend, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, love the innocent face and those eyes..xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stencil, the colours work well with your digital face with the ghost like figure in the foreground. Your making great use of these found pages, I too have many just waiting for the finishing touches to be added.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a super creative weekend Hugs Tracey xx
I like both versions of your page. The bright color scheme is spectacular. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteI would never have imagined your page could look so incredibly different with a bit of digital magic. You have created a wonderful entry, dear Yvonne, and one that is perfect for Gill's theme at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteWonderful combination of two different face and expression.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend xx
Your stencil background is gorgeous! Very interesting digital addings, now the page looks quite different! Yes, the eyes are the mirror of the soul!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend! Rike
Beutiful hybrid page Yvonne - lovely stencil and imagery.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you are feeling more creative again.. really appreciate you joining in with AJJ :)
Hope you have a lovely weekend.... Gill xx
This is so dramatic and I like the contrast of the two faces, one a bit sulky maybe? and the other thoughtful.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to be able to use sketchbook pages together with digital, we are so spoilt for art materials today - and so lucky too, and you really make the most of both techniques.
This is a really cool take on the theme Yvonne. I like how you used the sophisticated lady and the fun bright lady! And how they are colored too. It is really dramatic. Happy weekend. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteA lovely page, the stencilled background looks fabulous with the contrasting faces. Nice to see you getting creative again.

Hi, Yvonne! I really admire how well you think outside the box. Creating this would have never occurred to me. You sure do digital well for someone who doesn't prefer it! Finished product very nice and beautifully illustrates the quote, xoxox

ReplyDeleteSorry for me being away so long but sometimes life takes over.....I try to keep up with the real blog-fans and the crafters I love to follow but I just can't find the time at the moment to comment.....Maybe if winter is coming things will be easier.....but I will always be a big fan of your work....don't forget that please.
