It is a while since we had a cat in the family, but they like our dogs used to sit in the garden watching for what seemed like hours . The dogs usually fell asleep, but the cat stayed focussed. How she never got stung by a bee we will never know.
This is another hybrid page.
Starting off with a stamped and colored image.
Slashes of paint came next and then it was left on the craftroom desk..
Photos were duly taken and I was able to complete the page in the digital program I use.
Our cat did look like this one, she was called Tiger.
One of the family memories about her was her first visit to the Vets
. What a darling they said as we took her out of the basket.
What is she called? they asked
Tiger we said.
Why? they asked
They believed us when she bit the vet's finger as her gave her an injection.
Oh... did we all laugh, including the Vet.

I have been sorting through photos of pages in progress on the computer recently.
With my brew of choice close by....
So I will say hello to friends over at Bleaubeard and Elizabeths where we are always make very welcome on Tuesdays with a drinks related post
This is how this digital page turned out,
the dogs got their bowl of fresh water and the owners a welcome coffee after a long walk.
Last week I showed you my very abundant apple trees
this weeks garden visit is to the Greenhouse, where we have a vine that usually shares leaves and no fruit. Imagine the surprise when we saw these on the vine
We have some grapes,
They will be sour and not grow juicy enough to make anything with, but, we can dream.
They do their job and shade the the greenhouse from the sun that we have been
lucky enough to have recently.
I will end this post with a digital tag for the theme..... Summer Fun

Wow...grapes. Lucky you. I also have a wine that has never had any grapes, nor any now, so I am glad to see that maybe it will still happen some year. And I love all the art. That kitty had such pretty eyes. And I bet the dogs enjoyed some fresh water to drink. Mine seem to lap it up as soon as you refill the bowl lately. Have a wonderful T day Yvonne. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWow grapes-How awesome to enjoy your own grapes-I had planted some grapes when we first retired to the woods home but the animals always got them first lol great journal pages love the kitty one. Happy T hugs Kathy
ReplyDeleteWow, that's amazing to have your own graspes! And it's fantastic art today as well Yvonne. Your pages and the tag are simply terrific. Thank you for supporting AJJ again and have a happy T-Day!

Love the look of those grapes, wow!. The cat page is fantastic as is the tea-day page and the beautiful tag for Tag Tuesday, thanks, much appreciated! Had to laugh at the stories about your cat. My Kitty was a sweet little thing, but at the vet's she turned into a monster! Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLovely post Yvonne, how amazing to find grapes growing in your garden, you must be so pleased!! Absolutely love your page with the cats eyes they are mesmerising, the stamped image edges it off beautifully. Inspiring to see both pages.
ReplyDeleteIt's a must to find watering holes for our four legged friends whilst we stop off for refreshments.. he looks very happy with his bowl and top up. Happy T Day Hugs Tracey xx

Fabulous post Yvonne. Thanks for joining in with AJJ again - your page is a real beauty.
ReplyDeleteHasn't that cat got lovely green eyes.
I did smile reading about your 'Tiger' and wondered what came first, the name or did you change it due to her nature :)
Lovely digital page too - theat's a great silhouett image.
Lucky you having grapes - I hope the sunshine makes them sweeter - assuming you arene't eating them at present.
Enjoy your T-day.. Gill x
Wow, what a fabulous post, so much to see! I loved the kitty cat artwork and the memories that you shared - perfect 😁. Our friends have grapes and I make Grape Jelly with them, which is yummy! Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry my blog post was an empty space. I don't know what happened there. I do apologise. I have now re-posted the whole thing and I hope it's OK now.
ReplyDeleteI love your hybrid piece with the beautiful cat with the amazing eyes. I can't take my eyes off him. (Is he hypnotising me?) And I enjoyed your cat anecdote.
How wonderful that you have your first grapes on your vine! They might be edible after all that good weather you have had. Here in Spain the vines are used for shade too (though not in the greenhouse). We used to have a vine on our little patio, it kept the sun out but it also attracted so many wasps that we wouldn't sit outside anyway. At the end of the season we'd have more grapes than we knew what to do with and after the harvest it became a big mess. The drain hole always blocked by the falling leaves if we neglected to sweep them up quick enough and we'd have a flooded patio when it rained. It was more trouble than it's worth.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
A beautiful post, love the gorgeous photos and fabulous colours here.xx
ReplyDeleteYour kitty story made me laugh. Ink did not like trip to the vet. Only one time did he turn into a demon kitty, ears flat eyes glowing red when a male assistant was doing the preliminary exam. Never saw Ink act that way around the ladies. Your silhouette made me long for Enders Island. All over the grounds were chairs and tables to sit relax and reflect. Grapes! A neighbor had a grape arbor. We were forbidden to go into her yard to eat the grapes, but she was ok if we at the grapes that hung over her fence bordering a field where we played. We used to eat the grapes while they were still green and sour. Mmmmm. Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteI love the silhouette on your digital page. The grapes make a nice picture even if they're too sour to eat. I'd be tempted to try, though ;) I like the blackbirds on the barbed wire fence. They look like they're having a nice visit. What a perfect image for T Tuesday :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous kitty. Great minds think alike, because I'm planning a similar entry. When my first ever cat Dog was small, I took him to be neutered. The vet tried to give him a pill and he bit the vet. I said let me give it to him. I turned Dog on his back and he held his mouth open for me to give him the pill. I gave Dog a Vit E pill every day of his life, and I think that helped him live to be nearly 20. I just hope Bleubeard lasts that long. This was a wonderful back story you shared of Tiger. I loved that you also shared it with us at Art Journal Journey using Gill's theme.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever way to celebrate T Tuesday. I love the dogs and their bowls, and I adore the wine glass and bottle, even if your grapes didn't make the wine inside. Thanks for sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey. I'll be back to see your TioT entry soon.
What beautiful grapes and such a surprise to finally see fruit on your vines.
ReplyDeleteYour digital page is perfectly summery. I love the cluster of flowers in the corner.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Beautiful hybrid pages, Yvonne. I love your stamped and colored background on the cat's eyes page. The silhouette page is very intriguing. I know a bit about image editting software and found my eye roving over the page and noting what techniques you used. It's beautifuly composed!
ReplyDeleteHappy T-day! Eileen xx
Oh Yvonne! Your Hybrid pages are wonderful! The cat and your story about the vet and Tiger made me smile! We once had a cat who was known as the 'infamous Snowy' as he used to lay in wait for passing dogs until we were alerted by a neighbour! I love the cafes that leave water out for dogs - even though we don't have a dog! Those grapes do look healthy - pity they can't be used - maybe the birds will eat them? Happy T Day! Chrisx
ReplyDeleteAs a saying says: "In a cat's eyes all thing belong to cats." Both pieces are expressive and well done.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day xx
Lovely artwork. I especially like the first piece, with the cat. What a pleasant surprise, to finally have some grapes growing on the vine. They look nice, even if they are sour. Happy T-Day!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love your cat gazing so intently at all the activity amongst the flowers. I'm sure she could be a tiger with a vet too...
