Hello friends, Its Tuesday and its T day over at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's, where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post.
My cup of tea was close by as usual, next to a journal page I have been working on for Gill's theme.... Anything with eyes
over at Art Journal Journey
This is how it turned out, I shocked myself at leaving quite a big empty space.
The words read......
You are a sea of light.
Open your eyes..
See yourself.
I will leave what you think about this quote up to you.
How often do we ever take a good look at ourselves and the things around us.
Well as I wrote this post .... I saw the clutter and mess that is my craft room and thought...
It is my mess....
Its my happy place.....
One day I just might decide to to have a good tidy up...
but tomorrow is always another day.
I have also managed to make a hybrid tag for Tag Tuesday where the theme is Anything Goes
The original is on the left, stamped images, washi tape and scraps.
It was altered in the digital program I use. I don't think the little animal can believe what he sees..... fish is not what he expected to see in the meadow.
However you spend today I hope you have a good one.

Wonderful post and most amazing art.xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful page and tag, I like the quote too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your post-really love the tag-and it's ok to have a messy craft room space-hugs Happy T wishes Kathy
ReplyDeleteLove the wide open spaces in your page... room for the shining sea of light to spread. I think the words are beautiful, and I think your thoughts about your happy mess are lovely too.
ReplyDeleteGreat tag - that vivid green is definitely wild too!

Beautiful journal page and love the pretty tag, thanks so much for joining us at Tag Tuesday again. Messy craft rooms are normal, and my craft room is my kitchen! More room to craft than to cook! Happy T Da, hope you are keeping well, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWonderful journal page Yvonne. A messy art room makes me happy:):) Love the tag and seeing your digital changes- always fun. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteYou may see a mess, but I see treasures :) I like your use of open white space in that piece. Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteFabulous fun post Yvonne - great photos.
ReplyDeleteThats an adorable dog on your tag.
I love the imagery and the layout of your journal page plus the open space seems very fitting for the quote.
Thanks as always for sharing with AJJ x
Your craft area looks well loved and well used (and well organised, I zoomed in to look) and as long as you have space to do the things you want to do - enjoy :)
I've been having a good look around this week as we are painting our lounge and having to move everything about of course to be able to do that - oh! - so I've been thinking wish we didn't have this and that and it might have made the job easier and quicker :(
Hope you are having a good week yourself... Gill xx
A beautiful page and tag! The blank space on your page gives a lovely sense of light that is mentioned in the quote - so magical 😁. My craft space looks similar ...lol 😉. As I haven't been crafting for a while after bashing my nose, I found I had three lots of materials to write up for different pages that I had created, very naughty but it isn't the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last ...lol! That " lamb springing over the flowers" mug is fabulous too - Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteLovely tags and journal page. Your craft space looks fun and interesting. I am always trying to neat mine up, but then I can't find anything! LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day!
Oh, I love your journal page! The faces and the washi tape are a wonderful combination. And that dog is adorable on your tag.
ReplyDeleteYour craft room looks like it is crammed full of wonderful crafting goodies. As long as everything is where you can find it that is all that counts.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Beautiful page and quote, Yvonne. I say, as long as you can find what you want, your craft room is just fine 😉
ReplyDeleteHappy T-day! Eileen xx
Nice quote. I like the play on seeing what is around you and what is inside you. Your craft room looks very tidy compared to my happy space. Happy T Day 😊
ReplyDeleteWritten words can certainly give us a voice, well chosen with your journal page Yvonne both ladies are equally as beautiful. Wonderful craft space, not having a room of my own i'm always envious when I see spaces like yours. Keep it exactly how you want it, each bit of mess is creativity in itself.. Happy T Day Hugs Tracey xx
ReplyDeleteP.S Love that Foxy Tag too
I did a small pick up of my craft space yesterday, but it is the first one I did all summer so I get your quote about saying there is always tomorrow. I also enjoyed seeing your craft space. And even better, I love seeing both of your beautiful pieces of art. I sometimes find I've left too much white space. It is always an issue whether to do anything to it or not, and if you do something, what to do? And I love the tag too. Happy T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteA fabulous page Yvonne and I love the quote! I think craft rooms are almost always in that 'tomorrow is another day' condition...and then there's crafting....!!! I love you bewildered little dog(is it a dog?) Happy T Day,Chrisxx
ReplyDeleteYour art pieces are lovely. I like that quote. I had an unexpected problem crop up inside my house this week, not along the lines of clutter, but something that needs to be dealt with. But right now I'm saying tomorrow is another day, since I don't know how to fix the problem without making it worse. (Sorry to be vague.) Happy T-Day!
ReplyDeleteOh Yvonne, I have NO idea how I missed your name. I always go in link order and somehow, I managed to overlook your name. I sincerely hope you will forgive me, because I would NEVER, EVER want you to think I left you out. You know how much I think of you and want you to understand this was definitely an unforgivable (on my part) oversight.
ReplyDeleteYou have created a beautiful entry for Gill's theme at Art Journal Journey. Not just one, but two beautiful faces. I like how the original morphed into the hybrid entry. Thanks for sharing it at AJJ. You are always so good about supporting us.
Your craft room looks like everything is within easy reach. Seems to me it wouldn't be that hard to straighten, since you have so much stuff already in place. I sure like your adorable mug. Your cute lamb looks like it's having fun frolicking in the springtime flowers.
You created a couple of adorable tags, too. I like how you created the second one. It had me laughing. Thanks for sharing your incredible art, a peek into your craft room, and your darling mug of tea with us for T this Tuesday. And again, PLEASE forgive me and my oversight. Now I'm off to see your TioT entry.
No, I didn't expect to see a fish in the meadow either! Great tags, both of them.
ReplyDeleteI love the face and the quote. The quote is very personal of course. Can I assume that it is your face? I like the way you drew a face with spectacles. Very well done.
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
I wish I could sketch. but it was a stamp that I used for the face. You did guess correctly , I do wear glasses.
