Material patterns

Scraps of patterned material, paper bits  and  a digital computer program where  used for this page.

The materials were  glued in one of my journals and  overnight kindly decided they didn't want to glue down. they bubbled up in places and lifted at the edges. So to complete this last page for
Erika's theme...... PSPP
I took the photo and used  the computer to add the extras.

Thank you for stopping by, you are always very welcome here.

Happiness is.......

Happiness is Homemade.
Another journal page for Erika's theme PSPP  choice at Art Journal Journey

This is how the page began and you will notice that I turned it up the other way before I added a few digital additions and computer generated words..

I went a bit over the top with the stencils, but it has made good pattern for a base layer.

Thank you for calling  to see me today  you are always welcome here.

Which blend would you drink?

Hello to everyone who calls in to see me today.
Its Tuesday and its T day over at Bleubeard and Elizabeths
where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post.

My cuppa of choice had its photo taken while I was fussy cutting some magazine images

There was a stack of colourful cups to cut out and the gal who seems to be savouring the moment .
before she picks up her cup.. She looks so thoughtful, maybe she cannot make up her mind that she made the right choice., or is just enjoying the aroma.
I didn't have to think what  type of tea bag to use for my cuppa.....strong  Breakfast tea this morning, it may look bright outside, that is actually sun shining on my desk..... buts it is very cold.
Have you a favourite blend of tea?
The background in my journal page was random  stamped and coloured with oxide inks.
Then finished off with a few extras  in  the digital program I use.

However you spend your day I hope it will be a good one for you.

Apples and Pears

Apples and Pears is the theme  for the challenge over at

I remembered I had this pear stamp in one of my boxes and was happy when I found it, however apples were  in short supply except those on the trees in my garden.
So it was off to the digital program I use to add a few apples to the tag.

Thank you for calling in to see me  I hope
you all have a good day.

Hot Hot Hot .... at TioT's

Its........' HOT. HOT, HOT'......
for this new theme at Try it on Tuesdays.....

Use  hot colours, maybe a visit to a  hot country, even a hot comforting drink.
We look forward to seeing how you interpret this theme and hope you will join us and have fun
creating your project.
The DT have shared  lots of  wonderful inspiration pieces. please pop over to get all the information for this challenge.

This  mixed media page started off with a colour wash and some stencils. . Next a scrap of fabric. I created the  ATC size topper using   a fun stamped image with the mice  hoping for a sip from  a mug of hot chocolate. not tea as advertised in the background.  Just right to drink on a cooler day as  the season is changing into autumn here in the Northern Hemisphere.
The words were computer generated in the digital program I use.

Thank you for calling in, you are always very welcome here

T day musings and dressed to impress.

She knew her friends were talking about her but.........
She could see no good reason to act her age.

Bold stripes and bright colours  and  she was ready to face the day.
However not before she had  finished her morning cuppa...

This is my brew, I don't think the rabbits can believe the colour of that suit either.
I will be calling in to say hello to friends over at
where every Tuesday we are always welcome with a drinks related post.

The page I created was a fussy cut image from a fashion book I found in a charity shop
The background was probably  resprayed stencils and stamps. I never like to waste the inks and spray  them with water, adding them to my mop up pages. in one of my journals.
I will also  be joining in Erika's theme......PSPP

Thank you for calling in to see me and  however you spend your day
I hope you have a good one.

Messy and happy

I have been having a lot of messy but clean fun  using mt digital art program.

The page began with a few  stencil  layers in my journal,  which will probably stay at this stage till I get a bit inspiration on what to do next.

I will be adding my hybrid pages to Erika's theme ....
Polka dots, plaids and patterns...  over at

This is another version with the stencil base and digital additions.

This version so far is my favourite, but as I can return to the program, its possible that I could  end up with another page.

Thank you for calling in today, you are always welcome here.

A brew , boats, and bears ....Tuesday musings

Hello everyone who calls by this Tuesday
and to friends from
  Bleaubeard and Elizabeth's.
where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post.

Tuesdays post is starting off with..............................
A half full cup of very cold tea as I  had forgotten all about it,
too busy enjoying a play.....

It was a mop up page with some additional stamping and a few stencils.
Yes it looks a bit chaotic,
but I was enjoying the little things in life and letting the big things get on with  sorting themselves out for a while. I added the butterflies using my digital program.
 ..............................................
....................................................
Summer is nearly over and I realised I hadn't shared these  photos from a recent visit to
Eyemouth a Scottish border towns.  Lots of boats moored up along the river
the one that caught my eye was the one called ...Tranquility.

Duns was our first destination of the day. the sun was causing lots of reflections in the glass, but you can see the china teapots
The reflection I would have liked to get was  the statue of Wojtek the soldier bear

If you have time. have a look at this link about the Bear.
He has a very moving story .
This is my own Solder bear,[ he is called The Old Timer] he  sits on the bookcase at the top of my stairs

However you spend this Tuesday I hope you have a good day.

Sunday 8 September 2019

Hey you........

It took me a while to find my box of paper scraps, it had been put on a high shelf . I couldn't bring myself to throw  scraps out,  as one day.... they could be useful. I think many of us are guilty of this. I  covered my journal page and fussy cut the woman from an old magazine
then added a Leonie Pujol  word sticker phrase.
It is a busy looking page  with lots of patterns  for Erika's theme PSPP

The other side of the journal spread is a little calmer to look at.
I left some white space at first, but returned later to add a bit of random stamping

Thank you for calling in today, you are always very welcome here.

Boys/Girls/Children at TioT's

The next challenge theme over at Try it on Tuesdays is.......
Boys/girls/children.
Babies------to------teenagers
,lots of ideas from the DT if you pop over to take a look and get all the details.
The children in the UK went back to school this week after the summer break. In my working days it would have been me returning back as well, I can say I have no issues with being happily retired.
I created a page for my digital journal with a group of friends enjoying playing together on a summers day. What stories they may have to tell, of their young selves when they grow up. I hope they stored happy memories.

Thank you for calling in today you are always very welcome here.

Monday 2 September 2019

tea day musings and A bit dotty for AJJ

It Tuesday and its Tday over at
Where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post
I noticed Elizabeth posted about her first ever Tea Tuesday post
In the photo was a beautiful china cup and saucer. and a reference to Earl Grey Tea.

Now this cup and saucer is for sure not fine china, just plain pottery, but your post reminded me of this stamp image,  I had a rummage,.... Millie the mermaid was left to her own devices until  I got this made.

Millie the Mermaid

'In my defense
I was left unsupervised.'

You could say that, as for  this journal  page I had no idea how it would turn out,. especially  as I did get a bit distracted  by a cup of tea in the middle of its creation

Erika this month's hostess over at Art Journal  Journey
has set the theme..... Polka dots.stripes, plaids or patterns...PSPP
So I was happy to find a pre- made dotty background in my journal  all ready for some additions
I used up some die cut push out images , adding a stamped quote and a TH phrase sticker.

Thank you for calling in today, you are always very welcome here.
However you spend Tuesday. I hope it will be a good day for you.
