and to friends from
Bleaubeard and Elizabeth's.
where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post.
Tuesdays post is starting off with..............................
A half full cup of very cold tea as I had forgotten all about it,
too busy enjoying a play.....
Yes it looks a bit chaotic,
but I was enjoying the little things in life and letting the big things get on with sorting themselves out for a while. I added the butterflies using my digital program.

Summer is nearly over and I realised I hadn't shared these photos from a recent visit to
Eyemouth a Scottish border towns. Lots of boats moored up along the river
the one that caught my eye was the one called ...Tranquility.
Duns was our first destination of the day. the sun was causing lots of reflections in the glass, but you can see the china teapots
The reflection I would have liked to get was the statue of Wojtek the soldier bear
If you have time. have a look at this link about the Bear.
He has a very moving story .
This is my own Solder bear,[ he is called The Old Timer] he sits on the bookcase at the top of my stairs
However you spend this Tuesday I hope you have a good day.

Your journal page is gorgeous, love the colours, really beautiful. Sorry you forgot about your tea. I often drink my coffee cold, too. Looks like a lovely visit to the Scottish border. The teapots ate such fun, and love the boats. And a touching tale about the the bear. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLOVE the gloriously summer page, well summer colour in my eyes...love this and your photos.x
ReplyDeleteI do love your page today Yvonne. The patterns are great so if you get a chance you should link up to AJJ. But I guess you might be busy today. And I enjoyed the visit to Eyemouth. I have never seen a soldier bear statue before but I like it. OH and those are amazing teapots, even with the sun glaring in the window. What a fun collection someone could have. Have a wonderful T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeletewhat a fun journal page-those mop ups can be the best:) Love seeing the boats along harbors. Great collection of teapots in the shop. Thanks for sharing that special bear- the statue and yours. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, Yvonne, what a fun post today. Your journal page is gorgeous. You always have such awesome pages, whether they are traditional or hybrid. I always seem to drink my coffee cold, even though I use an insulated mug.
ReplyDeleteI was totally impressed with those adorable tea pots. I know it must have been hard to pass them up. The statue of Wojtek was beautiful. However, it wasn't really very true to life, since I noticed in both photos, he was collared and had a leash. Not sure how I feel about that. It seems like everyone was afraid he'd run away or turn on them. I just hope he was as happy as the article suggests, because he was a beauty.
Thanks for sharing your own soldier bear, Wojtek, the teapots, and your journal page and (cold) tea with us for T this Tuesday.
You mentioned wondering if straws are really necessary for us to use in our drinks. To answer your question, they may not be necessary for some people, but for me, they are a godsend. I may have mentioned I was born with a rare form of arthritis and I have no pinch grip. I also can barely move my neck back a few degrees. It's hard to drink anything like that long glass of water and not contort my neck to the point of pain. And gripping the glass requires both hands, too. They may not be needed for some people, but I don't drink anything without a straw. SERIOUSLY! (Don't invite me for "high tea" and expect me to use my pinkie, except to keep my straw in the cup [grin]).
I love seeing how other people's "mop up pages" are more attractive than my own carefully-planned art lol! Nice :)
ReplyDeleteI think yesterday was National Teddy Bear Day here, so your old-timer made quite a hit with me :) Happy T Tuesday!
Lovely art today. Thanks for sharing the wonderful photos. It's an interesting town. Love your Old Timer!
ReplyDeleteWe got back a summer today. It's not normal here this late in September.
I took my bicycle from garage and made a trip to a shop.
Have a great week ahead xx
Such a beautiful page! I love the colour combination with the pretty images, it's fabulous 😁. I always enjoy looking at the boats when we visit Glasson Dock and I can see why you were drawn to the one called tranquility, the scenes that you captured of the boats and water look so serene too! Those teapots are amazing and I love your soldier bear, he is adorable! I'm off to read more about Wojtek now, thanks for the link! Happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteA great page and full of interest. Lovely photos from your summer outing and it was interesting to read about the bear.
ReplyDeleteHope you've had a lovely day. Hugs, Avril xx
I Love your journal page very much. really enjoyed the summer photos-and I think I saw lamb chops in the window-that takes me down memory lane haha. I am off to check out the bear story Happy Tuesday

ReplyDeleteHappy T day!
Mop-up pages are always the best. This one is no exception. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the photos of the boats in the harbour. It was a gorgeous day by the looks of it.
I read the story of Wojtek. Very special.
And I love your little 'old-timer' in his Chelsea pensioners outfit. Bless them.
Sorry I'm late in commenting. We are having problems with the power lines in the strong winds. The power goes off every few minutes for a short while and then it takes my computer a few minutes to boot up again. Nightmare!
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

What a beautiful picture of the boats! It looks like a lovely place to visit.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very large bear.
Happy Tea Day,

I drink "iced coffee" more often than hot coffee... by the time I've remembered to drink it, that is! Love your journal page - the energy of the vibrant colours and delicious spontaneity of the mop-up inky patterning is amazing. Love those little flowers too. It doesn't look chaotic to me, just full of life. The Old Timer is full of character and I'm off to read the other bear story in a minute.
ReplyDeleteAlison x
He was unveiled on my birthday!
DeleteThe colors on your cup match your chaos page. Was that your inspiration, Yvonne? Very pretty page in a wild sort of way.
ReplyDeleteThe story of Wojtek the bear is very touching.
Happy T-day! Eileen xx
I like your journal page, Yvonne. The hand drawn elements especially. Chaos is Beauty, Beauty is Chaos. Something like that. ;-) xox
