It Tuesday and its Tday over at
Where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post
I noticed Elizabeth posted about her first ever Tea Tuesday post
In the photo was a beautiful china cup and saucer. and a reference to Earl Grey Tea.
Now this cup and saucer is for sure not fine china, just plain pottery, but your post reminded me of this stamp image, I had a rummage,.... Millie the mermaid was left to her own devices until I got this made.
Millie the Mermaid
'In my defense
I was left unsupervised.'
You could say that, as for this journal page I had no idea how it would turn out,. especially as I did get a bit distracted by a cup of tea in the middle of its creation
Erika this month's hostess over at Art Journal Journey
has set the theme..... Polka dots.stripes, plaids or patterns...PSPP
So I was happy to find a pre- made dotty background in my journal all ready for some additions
I used up some die cut push out images , adding a stamped quote and a TH phrase sticker.
Thank you for calling in today, you are always very welcome here.
However you spend Tuesday. I hope it will be a good day for you.

Oh Yvonne, this tea cup is SO adorable. If it has a cat on it, both Bleubeard and I are jumping with joy. Squiggles, on the other hand is sleeping. I love that you even used the same Earl Gray tea I used in my first ever tea post. Such an honor and great homage, too. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us for T this Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThis is a darling mermaid, even if you did get interrupted by the tea post. This is truly magical and fits perfectly with Erika's theme at Art Journal Journey. It's so sweet, even if you were left unsupervised (grin). Thanks for joining today.
I love the earl grey tea cup you made-very cool, and I love mermaids so love it as well.
ReplyDeleteHappy T wishes Kathy
Happy T day Yvonne. I am loving the kitty tea cup art and really loving the dotty mermaid. Oh that quote is perfect! She is a unique mermaid soul I think. Glad you were left unsupervised! Thanks so much for joining in at AJJ. Hope all is well! Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks for the beer link Yvonne. The label on the ones brewed here in the US is different from what I knew on the British version. It had me confused but it is the same beer. Locally brewed here in the US, but not its own local recipe. I enjoyed reading the Wikipedia page.Thanks-Erika
ReplyDeleteLove your tea-cup with the cat on it, what a wonderful stamp. The dotty, spotty mermaid is fun, too. Love both pieces. Great choices for T day - have a very happy one! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely cup and an amazing stamp with the cat cup and Early Grey is simply the best , I am with you!
ReplyDeleteThis Mermaid page is totally gorgeous - so wonderful to see it at AJJ ( sorry the linky didn't work properly. Should work now perfect) .
Happy T-Day!

Such fabulous art! Millie the mermaid made me smile and I love your kitty cat teacup, the handle designed from the cat's tail is amazing - purr-fect ...lol 😁. Take care and sending you Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeletedelightful journal pages. That dotty background is great, a perfect start to the new theme at AJJ! Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteYou had me at the kitty cat cup, and Earl Grey is my favorite blend. I especially like it with a splash of vanilla extract and foamy half n half (it gets foamy if you shake it). I was told this was called a London Fog. The dots on the mermaid page remind me of bubbles and I had to laugh at Millie's comment. 😺 Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad you were unsupervised! Look at the result! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love your (Christmas) mug. (How many days till Christmas? Don't remind me)Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

Had Earl Grey this morning! Love that mermaid's face and your dots are fab, xoxo
ReplyDeleteHave long been an admirer of your work so I thought it about time I commented again. Love the teacup, the one I use at home used to have cats on but someone broke it (not me!).
ReplyDeleteLove your mermaid, she has a real cheeky face and is perfect with that dotty background. Cannot imagine what she would get up to when unsupervised - or can I?
Hugs, Neet x
Cute cat tea cup stamp, Yvonne. The way the tail makes the handle is very clever.. Millie the mermaid is go goofy looking. She makes a darling page for AJJ.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-day! Eileen xx

Love the colours surrounding your dotty mermaid - beautiful vivid sea greens and blues and turquoises. It's a great page. And the weathered Earl Grey background on the postcard looks amazing.
