December's coming for Diary Day

Diary Day and  the first week in December coming ever closer.
I used similar colours         for the stencils as were on the pre-printed page.
Then I created an arty tree using strips of washi tape.
The stamped[ Kate Crane]  angel was water coloured and fussy cut.

Tic, Tac. Toe.

I have made a Tag for the

'tic.tac.toe'

 theme over at Tag Tuesday

I chose the bottom line as my guide.....

Stenciling............. a snowflake stencil on the base

Die Cut.......................... the Fir tree

Lace.........from my stash box.

I have made this second tag using the waste piece from the die cut Fir tree

Cats Under Caffeine

Cats under caffeine.

A gesso base  with lots or random stamping, the cat   stamps are. I think  Katzelcraft images

 but  like the others I lost the makers names ages ago.

I have created a fun journal page today to share with  friends

 at Bleubeard and Elizabeths

where its T day

and we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post.
 The cats would like to say hello to Bleubeard and Squiggles they hope you have a great day

My  photos today have a number of weeks between them.
This one   in September when the garden centers  hadn't turned their thoughts to Christmas decorations and there were pots of Lavender on the tables.

Today these centers are full of Christmas decorations, I went to  one not far away from us today, the cafe was full, so we didn't join the queue for coffee. However I took a few photos  of the model railway display as  it looked quite magical

My last photo is of these snowy white owls, I walked past them at first, they were  near  the back of  display that seemed quite cluttered to me, but I did manage to get them in my view. The wicker work reindeer looked  good as well , but it was impossible  to get a photo of him.


Thank you for your get well wishes  on tea day last week,  I am feeling much better and as you will have read, I was out and about today [Monday].

I'm afraid I scheduled  it for the wrong time. this week

Winter Wonderland at TioT's

The new theme at Try it on Tuesdays ,is....... Winter Wonderland.

Please pop over for all the information and see how  we all  interpreted this theme.

This has got to be one of my all time favourite stamps and it has made  regular appearances 

on my Christmas cards for a few years.  I do not know the maker as it has rubbed off the wooden block,  yes I still have many stamps on wood blocks.
I embossed the card blank and layered up the image.
Mirri card is not happy being photographed and dull weather doesn't help either.
The ribbon isn't as bright as this in real life,
  but I think you will get the  idea,  that its all  about the  winter scene
that I was trying to create for this theme.

Walk into your dream

I am using  my 8 x 8 inch journal today.
It was a mop up base layer with  lots of stencils and some  of my AALL&  create stamps
I did fussy cut the figure   I wanted to show some one walking into their dream.

Under the sea

Do you believe  there are mermaids living under the oceans.

 One thing I have learn't this month   creating my pieces for AEDM is not to spend to much time thinking of how I want  a page to look like and be a bit flexible with the outcome.
 If it doesn't look finished off  to me. I am able to add a digital extra,
 like the ship and splashes  on this page.

The mermaid I tore from a JD tissue, stamped the words .

As for the base.....gesso, random stamping and some stencils.

Why

I  seem to be day  dreaming quite a bit this month, perhaps its all the gloomy and cold days

 we have been having recently. I think it will be a long winter.

This page is a bit of a   fantasy, perhaps a bit abstract, 

modern in style and 

definitely from my imagination

Eyes open and looking around,  a dragon fly perched on the end of her nose, 

lips  firmly closed and sealed so she  doesn't say  a word , she wants to stay in her dream.

I used a variety of stamps as well as splodges as a base.

The eyes are a JD stamp. the dragonfly a   fussy cut AALL&C stamp.

Shoes.....

Friday is diary day and this week I am using this fun picture taken from an old calendar.

The ladies have been out to lunch and are having a shopping trip to buy shoes.

 I absolutely hate shopping for shoes  and its many a year since I bought ones with heels.

Its flat comfortable  and walking shoes that I favour these days.

The additional stencils were added using oxide inks.

Thanksgiving Blessings

 A hybrid page from me today, with digital images

 added to one of my own base journal pages.

I added pieces of torn music paper colouring with   a variety of water colours  patted on with soft paper rather than a brush.  This helps me to get right to the edges and under the rings. 

 Then I sprinkled on a few  brusho powders and waited to see how it all turned out as it dried.

I had found the Thanksgiving quote a while ago but unfortunately couldn't find  the author..

I decided only to add  the seed head stamps to the background and a sentiment.

I am loving using my ALL& Create stamps as well as Lynne's Affirmations, but those in the background are well and truely old favourites .

Tea Time on Tuesdays.

So I have created this  digital collage page  with one of my favourite sentiments.

In my home.......there is always time for tea......and everyone is always welcome to call in.

I have been enjoying creating pages on a daily basis this month. This one on the left is still work in progress as I cannot decide how much  more I want to add.  

A bit of a short Tuesday post from me as I have been  coping with a really bad flu type  bug, coughing and sneezing, you wouldn't think  I had a flu jab a few weeks ago.

Unstoppable

I was lucky to get some Jane Davenport stamps recently and I have used this particular main  image earlier this month. I stamped a border of the smaller stamps and added some stencils for texture.

Distress oxides were used for colouring and pens for her face.

This powerful woman is unstoppable
and good for her, dying her that colour,
 she will be sure to get  everyone attention as she passes them by.

Catch your dreams

I used a variety of stamps [ including ones from  ALL&create and Lynnes Affirnations sets]

 on this page ,

 with its usual white gesso painted on the Kraft card .

Hands reach out to touch, but do you ever stop to think why. 

Can you  see what you would like to touch,  what is close,
 but never catch  things that are out of reach.

You may not catch a rainbow  but its still its good to dream.

Remember Now

Seasons change but its always good to remember  'now,' what happens today.

How do we feel are we happy, sad, wanting more hours in our day, the list that takes over a 'normal day',  can be endless.

Another page in my kraft journal.

Gesso   of course for the background, some random stamps  and a Carabelle stamp  girl.

I am finding that these pages are just the right size for me to use as I try to create some sort of 

 ' art every day'.

Diary Day.... Somebody Cares

Friday Diary Day......

This little lad  wants you  to  know that somebody Cares.

I  used stencils to the already printed background.

[Stamps  from ALL&Create and Paper Artsy].
I even got to draw some leaves free hand, which is quite unusual for me.

I have to admit to enjoying leaving some space on the page. 

Gesso base again with some random stamped leaves, it kind of looks a bit misty to me.

I added some lace and a cut out material flower. 

The found relatives must have a story to tell, I hope they share it with their little sister.
