Autumn Days

Hello to everyone who calls in to see me today
and to friends at

where each Tuesday we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post.
Its another page in my Smaller Kraft journal today [ 6 x 6 inches]
Gesso random stamps and..... a success at stamping directly onto  a muslin scrap.
So I had to give it  a central spot on the page.
The fact that the ink from the base stamping leached through the muslin  didn't deter me from thinking....How did it work  this  time, when so many times it's been a right mess.
Okay, confessions, it was a skeleton leaf stamp, not a crisp image  and I had a new ink pad.
.............................
The photos I'm sharing are  of a lovely hotel  [The Leathes] where  we stayed  in Borrowdale  [Cumbria]  for a couple of nights last month. Grey autumn days, but the views were amazing

This was the view from the dining room window
as we waited for our Breakfast to be served.
I think the view says it all,  what a way to start any day.

However you spend your day, I hope it will be a good one.

I will be adding my journal page to AEDM

There is still another week to join the current Try it on Tuesdays challenge theme Thankful'..... The information can be found here

Art Journal Journey
and Erika's theme Vintage and Modern.

  1. Your skeleton leaf looks fabulous on that scrap of muslin and sits perfectly on the journal page. You took some fabulous scenic views while you were away xxx

  2. This is a beautiful journal page, Yvonne. I like that you included the muslin, and it didn't even cause a mess. I really love the background and the leaf, too.

The Leathers is MOST impressive. The hotel is beautiful and SO different from what you see in the states, right down to the welcome desk. Of course, that view you got from the dining room was sensational, and even with the gray weather, the bright color of the flowers made for a perfect view. Looks like the perfect place for breakfast and tea. Thanks for sharing your art journal and the Leathers with us, as well as your tea for T this Tuesday.

  8. I am totally in awe of this beautiful page Yvonne!
So very vintage and this monochrome colors make it such a charming piece !
I hope it is o.k. that I already have linked it to AJJ's collection as well as it is for sure a wonderful suitable entry for the vintage side of Erika's theme !

This country hotel looks so pretty and the views are simply amazing! And the breakfast looks so yummie too!
I am sorry you have troubles to link to the current Mr.Linky tool at AJJ . Maybe my fault as I carried over the very first entries from In Links to Mr.Linky ( In Links unfortunately has a terrible change now with a five second redirection when one wants to look at the links and two ladies from the gang told me that they can't come to the linked entries at all) . Althought the others of which I carried over the links seems to have no problems either to link now to Mr Linky I can imagine that this is the reason why you can't link now . I will have a look from now on at your posts every day and will link for you this month to AJJ. Hope that is o.k. for you!

Happy T-Day and happy AEDM !
I am excited to see art from you on every day now- yeah!

  11. Love your journal page.

I'm working in a Kraft journal at the minute, and sometimes it's a challenge to work on a brown background.
