Friday is diary day and this week I am using this fun picture taken from an old calendar.
The ladies have been out to lunch and are having a shopping trip to buy shoes.
I absolutely hate shopping for shoes and its many a year since I bought ones with heels.
Its flat comfortable and walking shoes that I favour these days.
The additional stencils were added using oxide inks.

Haha, Yvonne - I only wear flatties, too but I still love having a selection! It's SO hard to find a good, comfy pair, though.

Wonderful page! It reminds me of one of my friends, she always in the latest fashion high heeled shoes 😁. That's not for me anymore, I prefer my walking shoes and boots ...lol 😉. Happy Friday and weekend! J 😊 x

ReplyDeleteI'm with you all the way on flat and comfortable for shoes (almost 20 years since I wore heels!). Daughter makes up for it though. She is definitely a shoe person. And she likes them high (and she's a teacher, I have no idea how she makes it throught the day).

ReplyDeleteI love those shoe colors Yvonne. I am pretty conservative dresser but I love funky shoes, and that's what these are. I'm not a heel wearer but I do like the colors so if they aren't too high I would try them. :) This is a fantastic page in your journal. A joyful one for these dark November days. ReplyDeleteI always love diary day and am sad it has taken me so long to get here. I'm a bit like you. I haven't worn anything except tennis shoes for at least twenty years. Even when I graduated, I wore high tops with my dress. Those heels would have been ok when I was 20, but then after my arthritis set into my feet, too, I am very particular about the shoes I wear. You ave certainly creative with this spread, and it also fits well with Erika's theme at Art Journal Journey. It's a fun entry, too.
