It took me a while to find my box of paper scraps, it had been put on a high shelf . I couldn't bring myself to throw scraps out, as one day.... they could be useful. I think many of us are guilty of this. I covered my journal page and fussy cut the woman from an old magazine
then added a Leonie Pujol word sticker phrase.
It is a busy looking page with lots of patterns for Erika's theme PSPP
The other side of the journal spread is a little calmer to look at.
I left some white space at first, but returned later to add a bit of random stamping
Thank you for calling in today, you are always very welcome here.
Both pages are lovely, I especially love the one with the patterns. I had a dress like that back in the wild 60s, fashions seem to come round again and again! have a great Sunday, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteAn elegant lady could be from today's style as well, and a sett of textures offers a great group where to choose.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Sunday xx
Quite lovely art, too, dear Yvonne. Hope you are feeling better? You haven't mentioned it. I'm giggling because at my house, everywhere you stand has a box of scraps within arms' reach, lol. Well, seems like it anyway. When am I going to use them all? xox
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous idea with the elements and quote! A wonderful entry for Erika's PSPP topic! Thank you so much for such a wonderful page. I also love the calmer page - gorgeous! Happy Sunday dear Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
Susi

ReplyDeleteWhat a cool and clever page Yvonne - love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd your other page is as equally as beautiful but in a more gentle way...
love your use of the green stripy paper to match the opposite page as well.
Hope you're having a lovely weekend... Gill xx
OOhh these two Art journal pages are Wonderful Yvonne !! So creative your soul. I love the first one, because of the mix of patterns, and the second one because of the beautiful image and the quote, yesss, we are all fabulous !! :) and creative too.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a very nice afternoon, and send big hugs,
Caty
Both sides of this spread are adorable, Yvonne, but I admit, I really like the wild side. It has so many wonderful patterns and it represents Erika's theme so very well, too. It's a lovely page and your fussy cut lady stands out with that incredible dress. Thanks for sharing both these spreads with us at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteA fabulous page Yvonne! That dress is really striking!

Lovely pages.
ReplyDeleteThere are sure a lot of great stripes and dots and pattern on this page Yvonne. I love it. Huge THANKS for joining the PSPP challenge at AJJ and I am wishing you a wonderful new week. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI really like those layered paper scraps - dots and stripes galore, and her confidence comes zooming off the page in that striking dress. Just love the light, bright airiness of the facing page too, there's a simple 1920s elegance to it which really appeals to me.
