I'm learning to Fly.......

Hello everyone who calls in to see me today
My Journal pages  have been made  with  my theme...... A  world of Fantasy...... at

I am not good with travelling in air planes, it is many years since I did
and I have no intention of repeating the experience,
but I  often think that the birds must get a wonderful view as the fly over the land
Even birds, though born to fly,  have to learn the skills when they leave the nest.

I have added a couple of photos to show how this first page   began. I had a think where I wanted to add some paper snippets, grabbed a couple of stencils, some paint
and the messy fun could begin. I didn't use a brush for the paint, just some dried out wipes and kitchen roll.
The papers and washi tape were added next and finally  I stamped the birds and birdhouse. I am not good at hand writing so this was computer generated.

Mrs Henny Penny kept me company and I did actually get to drink my cup of tea  while the paint was drying.

So as its Tuesday
and its T Day over at Bleubeard and Elizabeths

where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post

Just for fun and fantasy
I have  created a digital page
with this cute bird celebrating with a fruity drink. She has earned her wings, she believed she could fly  and she did.

Her fantasy came true

Thank you for calling in and however you spend today I hope it is a good one for you.

  1. Wonderful art Yvonne. That second cute little bird might have learned to fly but it might not be too straight if she finished that drink. Hee-hee. And your journal page has all kinds of great things in it. And this week's mug for T day is great. You have such a great mug collection for sure. I think I need some new mugs as yours make mine look boring. Hope its been a great T day so far. Hugs-Erika

  9. Your fantasy page is great fun, I like these two birds. The one at the bottom looks learned whereas the top one looks as if he is trying a new way of flying.
The party bird with a drink is obviously having a good day.
I like the music in the background with both of them too.
    It's two great pieces, Yvonne.

  13. I love your fantasy page, Yvonne. Thank you for sharing your steps. Many Life Book lessons start with a collage layer and then almost totally cover it up. That bothers me - covering up all the pretty bits so artfully arranged. I love your solution and how you broke that mixed media "rule" (in my head).

Aww, your second fantasy page is darling. Very clever!

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

  17. I'm finally back online. I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner, because I take my hosting duties seriously.

I am so impressed with your journal page for Art Journal Journey. I love the way your mind works and your fun fantasy about the little bird who believed it could. I see you have some of those yummy Paper Artsy paints, and I like how you got it on the page. Thanks, dear AJJ hostess for sharing this with Art Journal Journey.

Like you, I have trouble flying, especially after 9/11. Before 9/11, I flew for my company all the time. Now it's a nightmare, and you have to remove your shoes and be subjected to scans. Other rules are insane, too, like you can't take more than a tiny bit of shampoo, toothpaste, etc.

Miss Henny Penny looks like she was ready to fly or maybe waddle away with your tea! Your adorable little bird is truly enjoying that drink. I want that umbrella (grin)! Thanks for sharing your AJJ ar, your tea, and your adorable little bird with the fruity drink with us for T this Tuesday.

Are you ready to show your washi tapes next week? I suspect you will put mine to shame.
