With only three more days for my month of hosting at......
I've gone back to a childhood pastime today
Did you ever drop blobs of paint onto paper then fold them over?
I still remember doing this and then trying to think what the resulting shape could be.
I think I used too much paint as it took ages to dry, but my first thought was...... this has got to be a butterfly. If I was happy with my freehand drawing I would have drawn the butterfly, but decided to take the easier option for now. One day I will get the courage to outline these pages .
So you will have guessed that the additions were made in the digital program I use.
Thank you for stopping by today, you are always welcome here.

WOw... this looks amazing! What a great idea with the digital butterfly! And I am sure with the digital as reference you would manage to draw the butterfly easily if you would like to. You added the best fittig quote to your artful blob experiment Yvonne! What a month this was at AJJ?! AWESOME! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your fantastic performance this month! You just are an inspirational temptation for us all!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that I was so unproductive, but I saw how many of the artist got fantastic inspiration from you and all that wonderful creative work just make me happy!
Have a fab Thursday Yvonne!
Hugs, Susi
That's a fab butterfly. My grandsons used to love doing blobs when they were small. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThat is the most beautiful paint blob butterfly. Cool idea. I remember doing this as a kid but my pages never looked that good. I've posted every day of the month as you have and it is a huge accomplishment (and a lot of work) at the end of the month. Only a few more days! But I've enjoyed all your art. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI used to love this way of making butterflies - if only we had had stamps or digital programmes then (second thoughts - maybe not - I would have missed so much!!!) Hugs, Chris!
ReplyDeleteYour blobs of paint have made a fabulous butterfly, colours are perfect. It is a fun technique.

ReplyDeleteI wish you a very nice Friday, big hugs, Caty
This is far more creative than any blobs I ever created, Yvonne. It's gorgeous and YES, it looked like a butterfly to me even before your fabulous digital image. You truly amaze me with your digital wonders. I am always impressed with your digital art. To me it's far harder than anything I could ever create using real paper, scissors, and glue. This is a wonderful entry for your fantasy at Art Journal Journey and you are such an amazing Host this month, too.
