I'd love to live in a fairy tale castle

Fairy tales create their own fantasy destinations and stories.
I would have loved to live in one as a child, even today I can picture images
of these stories in my head.
This page is for my theme of..... A World of Fantasy... over at
 Art Journal Journey

It  began with a page from my colouring book.
I am lucky to share  time with friends  in an art group at the  library in our next village.
We mainly colour  pages with pencils, markers, crayons ,  as it keeps the mess to a minimum.
Lots of chatting,  cups of coffee and most of all fun.

I decided to alter the page in the computer art program I use  [notes in my sidebar]
and create a magical  castle. A place of calm,  tranquility  and love,  now that would be a pleasant dream to remember  on waking up. I hope it would have a happy ending as well.

Thank you for calling in today, I really do appreciate the comments you leave for me.

  1. Wonderful page. Love the great quote from Dumbledore. Fairy tale castles are lovely to live in, but they do need a lot of fairies and elves to do the housework Hugs, Valerie

  4. This magical world is so cool. I love it Yvonne. And the quote is fantastic too! I think mushrooms would make perfect little fairy villages, and we have so many of them here now for sure. The fairies must be very happy. Have a great new week. Hugs-Erika

  5. This is pure fantasy, Yvonne. I love the colours you've chosen and how you've added to the original picture with the great background and birds.
That must be a very relaxing art day, lots of nice chat and some non-stressful painting.

  11. Fabulous and so cleverly enhanced, - I sure would not mind living in a castle like that, preferably with lots of servants to do the cleaning and cooking..... You are lucky to have regularly arty friends get together, they sound like fun!

  13. Your fantasy castle with these wonderful digital additions is fantastic! The mushroom must have a very strong handle to hold this scenery and not crash down. You chose beautiful colours!
It must be a lucky time to share art thoughts and to chat with friends in an art group!
Wish you a nice day! Rike x
