Springtime Surprises...


Spring Surprises 

When I entered the the first theme at Tag Tuesday.
I never imagined that I would be the name picked out of the hat to win  the gorgeous tag book  that Valerie made. The surprise was even greater when the postman delivered me
  a mail art box containing more goodies.


Its been a busy month for me as I am trying to create a page each day for Art Journal Journey where I am the guest hostess for the month and  after a number of days looking at the contents, I'm sure you all know what I mean when I say this.
 I have used a small piece of one of the napkins  for my ' Out and About' page at ........
 Art Journal Journey today.





I have some nearly dried up ink pads which I used to colour the background. Used a stencil and paste next for a bit of texture.
Then came the napkin, I love these blue flowers. Which brought me to thinking that even this early in Spring there are flowers for us to see when we are out and about.
The birds were Dina Wakley stamps and the sentiment was computer generated.

    How AWESOME. Valerie is not only a wonderful artist, she is generous to a fault. I love it all, but the washi tape is extra special.

    I have no idea where Valerie gets all her napkins, but they are always fun. You picked a perfect one to use and I simply adore your latest AJJ entry today. I have some nearly dead ink, too (in fact MOST of mine is nearly dead), but mine doesn't look as good as yours. The background is fabulous.

    Great that you instantly used something of lovely Valerie's generous gifts!
    A fabulous page is this! Oh yes I know how exhausting it can be to make something every day and even for a specific theme. But I hope you know that this isn't a condition at AJJ - we don't want that a month of hosting ends up with an Art Journaling burn out for our hosts ...lol!

    What a beautiful page Yvonne. I love the sentiment, how very true that is! Wonderful colours and those blue flowers really are a bit of cheer today! Amazing prize package and gifts from Valerie and you sure did put that napkin to good use!! A page a day, oh boy... you seem to have lots of mojo still, I think I would have conked out by now. lol
