A bike ride.... for AJJ

Its a bike ride today for  my
Out and About theme at

My family have always loved cycling and nothing can be better than travelling on country roads, at a slow pace and enjoying the scenery and smell of the countryside.

Another hybrid page and on the left is how it started off in my journal. Stencils,  splats of colour as well as bit of mop up splodges.

This illustration is from last years calendar.
I liked the quote .... Always a bit of a rebel.
My trusty bike had a basket and was well used back in the day, it is now stored as it carries to many memories for me to part with it.

Thank you for calling in today. I am enjoying   seeing all  the fantastic pages everyone is adding to AJJ for the theme.

  2. I like how you mix your own art with the digital world to create a page. I am particularly drawn to the trees and the 3D effect you've created.

  3. Very cute page, love those digital additions. My bike has a wire basket, and is a vintage bike at that. I love it, and am sure I won't part with it either!

  4. A bike is a great way to get out and about, as long as there aren't a lot of big hills to ride up. :) I like a nice flat ride, but its not very flat where I live so I haven't done a lot of bike riding. Its a beautiful page and makes me think of spring and summer. Happy Thursday. Hugs-Erika

  6. It's a lovely day for a bike ride today, the sun is shining and we have blue skies here on the NW coast of the UK :-). Your page is wonderful, I love the elements you have used and the lady on the leopard skin bike made me smile - I think it's good to be a bit of a rebel too :-). Happy Thursday Yvonne! J :-)

  9. The main words made me laugh, and then the rebel line was a bonus! Love this page, particularly with the bushy bushes added... makes me want to get the bike out and find a country lane somewhere (some hopes!).

  13. I like the idea of the bike ride, and you have inspired me to create something along those lines. But not as clever as your rebel rider. I adore this and the inspiration you gave me, too.

  14. Beautiful page! I like the quote fitting to this leopard skin bike, and I like how you connected the two bicycles - coming one from left and one from right side, and one in white and the other in black!
I love your header - I admired that page already in AJJ!
