Friday..... is diary day
It's getting near Halloween and I can see it getting more popular here in the UK
as the years roll on by.
So I thought my diary pages for the rest of the month would reflect this time of the year.
It was a pre- coloured page in shades of grey and did have some printed flowers. Just the right moody colours. I added stencils as usual using distress inks, coloured the flowers and tried to give a few a scared, startled look. .
The skeleton's head and crown are All&create stamps. I did give them a bit of a hair do [grin], so they looked a bit smarter for their night out.
I will join the folk at Art Journal Journey
and Linda's theme Creature Comforts
as this page does have creatures that I wouldn't want to meet on a dark night.
Thank you for calling in to see me today.
I hope you all have a good weekend.
Your diary pages are such fun, just right for the season. Love the colours and the stamps you used. Enjoy your weekend, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI specially LOVE the hair do you added! So cool! And you always get such depth with just a bit of stencilling! What a fun spread and great to see it linked to AJJ again! Thank you very much!

ReplyDeleteI always love diary day, because it is wonderful to see how your mind works. I'm really glad Halloween is becoming popular in the UK, because it is one of the biggest holidays here, second only to Christmas. I really LOVE those skeletons. I can see why you bought that stamp. I also like how you made it your own by adding all that wonderful hair. Thanks, too, for sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey, dear Yvonne. You have really created a lot of art already for us this month.

ReplyDeleteGreetings Carola
great colour composition but I can't take to the skulls, just me...maybe from being a nurse.xx
ReplyDeleteThese flowers do not like the skulls lurking in their garden, poor little flowers. Maybe someone should tell them that Halloween will be over soon and the skulls will be gone (hopefully).
ReplyDeleteHaha! skulls with crowns and skull-hair.
Great page, Yvonne.
Those skulls really are creepy with their scraggly hair! I love the smoky grey dots drifting across the spread too.
