Gothic blooms for Tea Day

A hybrid page made just for fun while drinking many cups of tea during its making.

Which takes me to visit
Bleubeard and Elizabeth
and join the folk for T  day.

This page has been waiting quite a while, to be completed.
A stencil of some bricks and lots of green spray paint.

More splashes of colour added and the stamping started. [Paper Artsy stamps]

I did say this page took a few tea beaks to help its on its way.
You can see I have some flowers stamped and in the process of being fussy cut, before I coloured with my water colour pens.

When I had stuck down the flowers  it still seemed as if  I wanted to add more.
A real problem for me as-- Less--- is not a good word in my crafting vocabulary.
So the answer for me was to go  digital after I had taken this photo, this way I wouldn't spoil what I had already created.
But maybe on reflection,
I like this version as well.

Thank you for stopping by, for a cuppa with me.
You are most welcome.

If you have called in from Tiot's, my Scary post will be following soon..

  1. Your page is beautiful, love the colour contrasts. Glad you were fuelled by tea to keep you going, my choice is mostly coffee! Happ T Day, hugs, Valerie

  2. This is just so beautiful Yvonne. The colours are amazing and the flower shapes stand out.

    Love Chrissie xx

  3. Both versions are beautiful, but to be really honest I prefer the original. The good thing is, you can now still use it. Thanks for this post as it explains to me how you actually work with your hybrid creations, something I have never really tried before, but it is very clever!

  4. Just beautiful Yvonne! A fantastic page! Tee is always a good choice! Happy T-Day! oxo Susi

  5. I think those tea breaks must have energized your muses. I love how this page came out Yvonne. Those flowers really pop on your yellow background. I also think adding the bricks gives it a little edge. Happy T day. Hope its a good one. Hugs-Erika

  6. The original page is pretty with your colored flowers, but I love the digital backgrounds you added. The sparkle affect is lovely!

  7. Your wild and free blooms are beautiful Yvonne!
The crackled brick of your stone wall is a wonderful touch too.
Fun seeing your work space. I would feel right at home there ♥
Thank you for sharing another of your lovely creations.
Happy T Day to you oxo

  8. Love both versions Yvonne..
and it was nice to see how it started - the background and wall are fab...
the twinkly digital additions make it really magical.
    Hope your week going well.
    Gill xx

  12. so pretty and I really love the version with the added digital art. Happy T day!

  13. Awesome page Yvonne! I wish I knew how to do the digital stuff a little better.....guess I should do some practicing huh? LOL! Love the purple against the green background....make those flowers pop off the page.

Happy T-day and have a great week!!

  14. I'm so impressed with your lovely art today. Those copics are fantastic and you blended them beautifully. Fussy cutting those flowers was a chore, but well worth it. You can be really proud of BOTH pieces. I loved what you said about less not being a word in your crafting vocabulary. It makes sense, because you are often over the top (and that's a REALLY GOOD thing).

Thanks for sharing your tea and your gorgeous art with us for T this Tuesday. I like both editions.

  15. I forgot to mention, I don't know how to remove your unwanted entry, either, so don't feel bad. That's why, when we had the anniversary and the potential for sending an ATC to someone, I used InLinkz so everyone could remove their unwanted post. With Mr. Linky, we just have to put up with the problem because I'm clueless, even though I've asked for help in the past. Seems Brent (Mr. Linky) isn't forthcoming with the answer.

  16. LOVE your page...the texture is wonderful and the colors...love!
    Happy T day!

  17. As always love your hybrid pieces... I wouldn't know where to begin to make a hybrid piece. The brick wall and the flowers and the colors are magnificent ! Happy happy Tday my dear!! Hugs! deb

  18. Your page is beautiful. I love the combination of the colours and the blooms are exquisite. The texture of the bricks is very effective. Great page!
Happy T-Day and thank you for visiting,
    Have a good week,

  19. Both versions are beautiful! A good colouring and cutting out session always requires lots of coffee breaks here! Hugs, Chrisx

  20. I love both versions of this Yvonne, although this time I think I would pick the original one as my favourite. The colours are great and the flower is beautiful. I like the texture f the wall as well.
