Autumn leaves for AJJ

I had been thinking to make a new blog header for Autumn
and while I was on the job, I just had to use some of the images from this digital journal page
that was at the work in progress stage.
I think you may  guess if you have seen a couple of my posts this month
that the page is for Valerie's theme over at

 Art Journal Journey............

Indian Summer. Golden October and Autumn.

I love this season of the year and the changing colours  of the countryside.
I'm sure those of you who have trees in the garden like we do
think of the beautiful colours as a bonus to the chore of sweeping them up.
Nothing gets wasted and most are saved for compost pile..

Thank you for calling in today, your visit is really appreciated..

Digital images used, from
Mischief Circus Kits,
my own backgrounds and

  10. Lovely header and journal page! The owls looks so mystical and magical - perfect! I love the poem you have included on your page, it ties in wonderfully with the layout you have created :-). I love autumn too and the colours of the leaves turning always amaze me and luckily for me my hubby collects the leaves from the garden for our compost heap :-). Wishing you a great week! J :-)

  11. I am always amazed when you change your blog banner/header. It is both beautiful and stunning, while today's AJJ entry did double duty. You certainly have captured the look and feel of autumn.

To answer your question/assumption, yes, these are probably what you call color swatches. They are free at the big box home improvement stores and I actually like that term better than paint chips.
