Another Autumn journal page for
Where Valerie is hosting this months theme of...
Indian Summer-Golden October- Autumn.
The page base began with a watercolour wash , some brusho powders sprinkled on while it was still quite wet. A bit of texture was next
using a stencil and paste.
I had a few dried leaves to use and some small die cut feathers. These I gave a rub over with gold gilding wax.
As I was sticking down the leaves , my vivid imagination took over, as I think one of the results looks a ''bit'' like The Green Man face.
The owl is wooden this time and has been lurking in the bits box for ages. The quote was a digital addition.
Thank you for calling in to see me today, your visit and comments are very much appreciated.
Your page is, as always, beautiful - love the rich colours and texture. Thanks for joining us again at AJJ, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLove the textures here. I think its really smart to use some dried leaves. But I also like how you gilded them. Nice. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThe background itself is utterly beautiful and I love the layered style and the textured quality of it!

Beautiful page Yvonne. Lots of lovely texture. The gold on the leaves make them look like they have been cut from metal. Fab effect.

Thanks for your kind words x
Love your rich background and cute wooden owl. I don't what the green man is, but I think your feathers and leaves look like an owl too!
ReplyDeleteLove your page Yvonne, gorgeous colours and style.xx {aNNie}
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh when I saw the quote AND the words you wrote about one of the leaves. I looked and it is true. One leaf does look a bit like the Green Man. I think the word bliss in the quote is what made me laugh. Other than that, it is a gorgeous entry and extremely textural.
ReplyDeleteFabulous richly coloured background, and so beautifully finished with those feathers and leaves, - great effect, beautiful spread!!
ReplyDeleteLots of magic going on.... There does indeed appear to be a green man!
