In my garden there is.......bird song
Early morning is the best time to hear the birds, but I have to say that sitting quietly and listening,
we can hear them singing in the garden.

First stages, were to water colour the base, add some book script and washi tape
After many tries to get a a photo of the page actually looking square, I gave up
I splashed on more paint and added some random stamping using T.H. Wildflower stamps
and distress inks
I love these squiggly birds , they were fussy cut and also water coloured.
The last addition in my journal was to add some stencilling with paste for some texture.
But as you can see this page was altered after the photos were taken , with some digital elements .[1st photo]
I wonder which version you prefer.
Thank you for your visit today, you are very welcome
They are both good, but I prefer the first one, it just looks good! Love the new header, too. Thanks for another wonderful piece for AJJ, you are the TOPS!!! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteBoth are most cute and beautifully composed. I prefer the first one. Nice that adorable birds got to the banner😃

I like both versions, but the added digital flowers fill the page nicely. Love the new header too!!
ReplyDeleteI love both versions. It's like asking which child you like better, because they are both great and slightly different. Speaking of different, I like the new blog banner you are sporting. It is awesome, as are your AJJ hosting skills.
ReplyDeleteYou can add both versions of this page to the win column.
Just beautiful Yvonne! I love those bird stamps when you use them, so much like baby birds it makes me say awwww. Love it. hugs :)

Ah yes sweet bird song is a delight any time of day.
ReplyDeleteYou used those little birds brilliantly with all of your water coloring and lovely layers.
I really like the undigitized version but I also like the digi altered one.
Beautifully done Yvonne.

Had to laugh at your comment about there being no others in my photos. You have no idea how long I have to wait until there is no one around. I also had to wait while a few cars passed between the river and museum grounds. I try to never get people in my photos if I can help it. Sometimes they sneak in, or they are so far back, they melt into the background. But I am a very patient photographer, no matter where I go. Thanks for noticing!
ReplyDeleteI'm just loving those scribbly birds & their birdsong:-)

Absolutely gorgeous page Yvonne...
ReplyDeletelove both versions but probably the first one the most.
Can't hear any bird song at present, just the squabbling of a lot of juvenile starlings.
I chase them away sometimes so the sparrows can get in a get some food, otherwise they get bullied.

I love your quote, it makes me smile! The birds are so adorable, I love the simplicity of the original version and I think the birds are singing more in the digital version because of the Summery blossoms. Both are wonderful! J :-)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful page with a lovely deisgn!!!

You do have a great way with birds Meggy. I love this page. Looks totally different from Iceland. Not many trees here but there are some gorgeous low ground flowers. Hope all is well. Hugs erika
