Two Digital pages today for
For my theme choice of
In my garden there is............ vegetables
So following on from yesterday's Vegetable patch ,
I have made a couple of pages that I hope will make you smile.
Children and vegetable often cause parents some strife.
I had one who loved the veg and another who absolutely hated them.
Now as adults they would wonder what all the fuss was about. Typical!!!!
This second page come from a memory with my Gran.
When she tried to tell us babies were found in the cabbage patch.
By the way, my Gran was a wonderful old lady and we loved her very much.
Can you imagine the look on our kids faces if they were told that these days.
Another afternoon glued to the television tomorrow,
with the finals of the Men's singles match at Wimbleton
Then after that I won't have to juggle with tennis matches and the
Tour de France that still has two more weeks of viewing.
Thank you for calling in to see me today, I appreciate the comments you leave for me and I am enjoying my visits to the folks over at AJJ.
LOVE the gorgeous displays of these two...colours and images are gorgeous.xx {aNNie}
ReplyDeleteWonderful pages, and yes, I remember those sort of fights, veggies were regarded almost as 'poison' by my daughter! And as for the cabbage patch....yes, it seems impossible today. Thanks for making these delights for AJJ, and enjoy your sport, hugs, Valerie

Oh your pages really made me smile! I love them both and the sentiments are fab. I'm with you and glued to the TV this afternoon, I'm planning a little Wimbledon lunch for my Mum and watching the match with her - of course strawbwerries and cream are included :-). This morning I spent time watching the bikes on the Manchester to Blackpool cycle event, there's about 8000 of them and they go right past our house. Have fun! J :-)

Golly, Yvonne, I've always loved veggies, so you would never have to entice me. This was a fun two page spread, and I got a laugh out of the cabbage patch baby. It was just the laugh I needed today. Hope yours was super.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!!!! I really love your pages, that reminds me at my childhood, when I thoughed that children grow out of cabbage, because you saw that in many vegetables illustration books!!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!!

Cute veggie pages. Your Gran's story is very sweet. I still don't eat many vegetables!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pieces Yvonne. I don't think I ever grew out of that fussy vegetable stage. I still struggle with it and always always always land on corn!! tee hee. hugs :)

ReplyDeleteLooks like your fairy princess must be doing everything just right as she is precious.
And ah about back in the day when life seemed to be more simple.
