has been
set for us by Susi,
but she hasn't made it an easy one, it's
Collage with a twist....no faces, no wings , no leaves.
This is my first journal spread for the theme
The base pages started off with a splashed background and some torn scraps
I tried to soften the bright green with a coat of gesso.
But as you can see in my first picture I had a relapse and added some bright colours.
I found that if I rubbed the gesso with a damp cloth, before it all dried, I could erase the white and get the green splaters to show up again.
Next up was a brush over with some brighter water colour....yellow.
I added another couple of left overs, the quote and the pointing finger. My fingers by this time were a lovely shade of yellow as well
I used a stencil for the words on the background which relate to the messy painting adventures I was having,
as well as a script stamp.
So after all the fun with the paint and changing my mind about the colour, I decided to use some digital additions to the right side of the spread.
It just had to be a selection of art related bits and pieces.
Thank you for calling in to see me today, your visit and comments are always appreciated.

A great page for the new theme, I like the sunshiney yellow wash and a perfect quote. The painty digital additions are a fabulous idea too.
