It is Remembrance Day here in the UK.
Folk will stop what they are doing at 11 a.m. and keep a two minute silence.
Time to reflect and remember
the men and women from all the countries of our world.
Who, throughout the years past and present ,
served their countries
and gave their lives
for the freedom and safety of others..
Beautiful image and sentiment Yvonnd

ReplyDeleteI had a little walk through your latest blogposts and you gave me inspiration by your many colourful creations and the many styles and items I saw in the posts. Always nice to make a blogwalk like this....ending at the lovely poppy card...or is it poppie....lol....sometimes it's difficult in english but I am sure you will understand.I love the beautiful red color from the flower and the sentiment on your card. Always good to remember...some things may never be forgotten.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.....xxx Plony
What a stunning tribute!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! It's not even 10 am here, but I will stop at 11 and remember as I always do. I will even wear a watch because Sally and I are headed to the zoo. That way I will know, unless there is some announcement.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely thought- Stopping for 2 minutes to think about peace. I wish we did that here in the US. Your piece is gorgeous too. That poppy is fantastic! Hugs-Erika
