Where is November going and only a few more days to join the fun over at
where Susi's theme for this month has really made me stop and
think what I am adding to my journal pages....
Collage with a twist...no faces, wings or leaves.
Scraps old an old map and embossed paper, went on top a a mop up page.
I had a packet of stamped pieces and was able to find these ones that seem to go with a map, but my pages take a life of their own and I have to make myself stop before adding more.
Additional shading was distressed ink.
These pieces were never meant to go together, but it seems to have worked out
on a collage page.
Thank you for calling in to see me today, your visit is much appreciated.
Wonderful journal page, love the contrasting colours and textures. Glad you have had fun this month, and thanks a lot for another wonderful entry for AJJ, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteVery interesting collage, Yvonne, I had a nice little browse round all the "bits" which you have cleverly combined. Fun that your pages have their own ideas, I know what you mean.
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool collage Yvonne. I love how you used the map as the base and then added to it. Those stamped images work really well with the background. Hope its been a really nice weekend for you. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteGorgeous collage, the maps and embossed papers work so well together! I love the distressed look you have created and the sentiments are perfect :-). Enjoy the rest of your weekend and wishing you a great start to the week! J :-)

Holy cow. This is incredible. I love the alphabet and the various disparate pieces you pulled together so well. This is a genuine beauty. I never thought of art that way before now. What a great way to look at it.
ReplyDeleteSuper page. Fab elements that just fall right into place. Great design.

Gregeous Art Journal page.
ReplyDeleteLove the quotes on this page. Collage is wonderful for adding all those odd pieces, yours all look great together.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that quote and never looked at art in that fashion but I think it's so right. I kept an art journal over the past 3 months while away in England and it brought me so much joy reviewing after arriving back home in the states.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful page Yvonne! I love the old map piece in the background and all of the travel style additions. The little ticket with the art sentiment on it is my favourite bit!! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteI love how you made this page! Truly wonderful! Hugs, Chrisx
