Seeds and the Seasons

A page in my 6 x 6 inch journal page which began with a few splodges of white paint and some torn book paper.  I had already found this  picture and the stamp of a seed head that I wanted to use.
I used distress ink for the extra shading.

the theme for this month set for us by  Bleubeard and Elizabeth is....
My Favourite season or... Tis the Season.

I think every season brings its own beauty.
This seed head  made me think that when the seeds are scattered and the seasons change, time passes,
nature will work its magic and come the spring we will see the flowers bloom again.
[I am happy this evening as I actually managed to add my link to AJJ]

Thank you for calling in today, you are very welcome here.

  3. Oh dandelions. They make me think of summer. But I know they are there every season except winter. This is a super page and how true about seeds and spring. Nature has such fantasstic methods to keep on working season after season, doesn't she? Hugs-Erika

  4. I was delighted to read you were able to link to AJJ today. It's frustrating when you can't seem to do so.

I really like your incredible take on Seasons, Yvonne. You take us from one season the next by showing how the seeds of the seed head are scattered in the wind, then the seeds lie dormant in winter while the snow provides the moisture to germinate them in the spring. This is such a wonderful page, and a great ecological lesson, too. I am delighted you shared it with us at Art Journal Journey. It's a genuine beauty.
