A winter page for Bleubeard and Elizabeths theme over at....
Tis the season or My favourite season.
I was trying to have a bit of a tidy up on my craft desk yesterday.
A cold frosty day with some snow which I am pleased to say was gone by this morning.
I had been writing family Christmas cards and came across a box of card toppers[saved from cards sent to our family] . I was looking for envelopes. I have always said 'I am a very untidy crafter'.
This skating scene just had to be used, so I created a page for this month AJJ theme.
A sprayed brusho background, random grass stamped images which didn't turn out so well. the topper, a few die cut trees and word quote.
Thank you for stopping by at this busy time of the year,
I do appreciate your comments.
I love how you have used this lovely scene on your page! Gorgeous with the colours and the die cut trees are fabulous !
ReplyDeleteA fantastic page dear Yvonne!
Happy evening and a good start into the new week... our snow still is here and even a bit new one during the last hours! But it must be o.k. - it's winter. I am sure at Christmas it will all melt..it's the same nearly every year!
Sorry its been a while since I visited you Yvonne - hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteI adore the topper you have used - what a magical scene you have created - I love your page.
Hope you had a nice weekend and the weather not too bad/cold.
Gill xx

ReplyDeleteI love this. These skaters from the Christmas card look fantastic on your page. It almost looks like a snow globe. I am also a messy crafter, ad you would know if you could see my happy space right now. :) Happy new week. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and so 'refreshing' to see such beauty on a page...stunning craft work as always.xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a great scene to use in your journal evoking a wonderful crisp wintry day with everyone having such fun. The trees have made this a wonderful secluded area for rhe skaters. Have a great week xxx
ReplyDeleteI think this is gorgeous, Yvonne. I have no idea what a card topper is, but this winter scene is out of this world. I really love it. You have been so supportive of my theme at Art Journal Journey this month, and I am so grateful to you. Thanks for this entry, too.
ReplyDeleteYvonne, I am so behind visiting my blog friends, hope to catch up after Christmas. Just wanted to say what a lovely page you made. I get such a kick as an American out of British & European names for things - maps for sketches, card toppers for focal points, kitchen roll for paper towels, calling in for blog visiting. I remember being stumped by "chuffed" for the longest! lol But I cherish knowing about them. Please have a very Merry er um HAPPY Christmas and New Year!!! Hope your hand has recovered and is a distant nightmare by now. My New Year Resolution is to make more time for blog visiting. See you around the blogs, my friend! xoxoxoxo
