A journal page using more of the Klimt cards Valerie sent to me a while ago.
So once again he is the inspiration for my journal page.
I also really liked this quote of his that I found on the internet.
On the left I have a collage of the few photos I remembered to take. The initial background and some of the pieces I wanted to use. I also added a few scraps of material and printed canvas border. In case you wonder , no, it is not my stitching, this was added in the computer program I use [notes in my sidebar].
So this page is for Gill's theme at

and thank you for calling in to see me today
Wonderful use of the fabulous Klimt images and so well composed and layout of the handmade beackground and the different collage elements and the digital stitching looks fantastic! A gorgeous page inspired by Valerie who sent such pretty images dear Yvonne! Thank you again for another fabulous entry linked to Art Journal Journey! I wish you a very happy weekend!

So pleased to see another one of your fantastic Klimt pages Yvonne using those great napkins.
ReplyDeleteLove the colours, pattern and textures on your page and the stitching is awesome even if it is digital :)
(and you don't have to worry about running out of thread or getting blood all the page if the needle goes in the wrong place - argh!)
Thanks again for linking to AJJ.
Hope your weekend going well.

Superb page and very evocative of Klimt. I went to see an exhibition of his work at the Liverpool Tate, a few years ago - it was mind blowing! I had no idea how good he was until I saw his work. I particularly love his use of gold.

Great journal page, love the colours and glad you could use the cards. Have a good weekend, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteKlimt would be proud of the way you paid homage to him in this beautiful journal entry. I was especially taken with the composition, which included the torn fabric that allowed your eye to stop and take in the different elements. This is a remarkable entry and it's thrilling to have you share it with us at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteOh! So pretty! I love Klimt's artwork and your page depicts his style beautifully.

Klimt is inspiring. He was quite the character in personality but he sure had talent. You made a great page inspired by that talent Yvonne. It shows your talent too. Happy rest of your weekend. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious page Yvonne! It's just wonderful !,. I love how you've been creating the background, and the beautiful cards you've used. The details of the ribbons are beautiful, it's fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI wish you a happy start of the week, big hugs, Caty
Aha, Klimt is amongst us, I have a friend who recently went over to France and there was an unusual exhibition of his work....they were projected onto buildings, it looked quite stunning, in fact you could probably see them if you go onto my Facebook page & under friends look for Tiffany Turner....it was about 2 weeks ago!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Klimt inspired page!! Oh and I love your new header (at least I think it is new)....
