Friday is Diary day.... week 24.
I have been looking through my stamp collection recently and came across a number that had been pushed to the side of the shelf and certainly haven't seen any ink in a very long time.
In fact the ones I used today, I couldn't name the maker or even guess a name.
The cut outs were computer generated and I used just the one stencil today and some Vintage photo distress ink, the more layers of colour you add the darker the shade becomes.
I will join the folk over at
and Gill's theme.....Inspired by.....
finding these Leonardo da Vinci stamps was my inspiration for today.
Thank you for calling in today,
I hope you all have a good weekend.

Wonderful diary pages, da Vinci is a great favourite oh mine. Love the colours, too. Have a great weekend, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI like pulling out forgotten stamps. It is like you just bought them then. Very nice Da Vinci page. I expect next week you will be designing great new things like he did. :) Happy weekend. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI love Da Vinci! Lovely how you included them all onto your journal page.

Brilliant page, love this.x
ReplyDeleteMy art friend Kathy and I did an entire altered book one year based on da Vinci. It's amazing how I had forgotten some of those old images, most of which Kathy used. My favorite is the only one I own: Vitruvian Man. As always, i love calendar day, because you come up with some of the most clever ideas for the week ahead. This one is not just incredible, but also is such a joy because you also shared it with us at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteAlways love your diary pages Yvonne, and this one is no exception!! Wonderful Leonardo stamps, always fun to rediscover some old goodies....

Fantastic pages for your lovely diary Yvonne. Those stamps were a wonderful discovery - it always feels like having been on a shopping trip or having a birthday when finding things I have forgotten about and haven't used for ages :)

I guess the stamps are from Katzelcraft?! I am not sure- but they are fantastic and I love that you combined them with print outs - their sewing borders are fab and the background fits also very very well!

Always a pleasure when diary day comes around and a treat to see the Da Vinci stamped images, I've come across those stamps before but cannot remember who did them either! I remember I saved those very ones on my old computer and then printed oss on tracing paper to get a velum effect when I first started crafting lol.
