Hold me tight ....Diary day week 22

Friday is diary day, ......my diary page for ....week 22.

After a number of months of just looking a gorgeous pack of  art cards[ Gustav Klimt] sent to me last year by Valerie
I have decided to start using them, beginning with this one ... The Three Ages of Woman.

I also saw some wonderful photos the other day on a T day friends blog who shared photos of her visit to  an exhibition of Klimt's work.
[Its a weekly gathering of friends at
 Bleubeard and Elizabeths].

I  used white gesso, water colour paints and a splash or two. Stencils were involved next then the fussy cutting.

I added a scrap of muslin and  a feather.
A bit of a bright colour, but it was what was to hand in the box
and it does give her a little privacy.

I have also realised that this weeks diary page will fit the  theme at
Art Journal Journey

where Gill is hosting the new theme this month...
Inspired by....
So I was inspired by.... Klimt.... a friends blog post......and cards sent by a friend.

Thank you for calling in to see me today, your visit
 and comments are always appreciated.

  1. Oh Yvonne this is really gorgeous. That feather may be bright but its such a warm and rich colour
but just perfect for that beautiful image which is also very warm in a loving way.
I just love all the little details you have added to make this so wonderful.
I also realise that I know little of Gustav Klint (tut tut) and must do something about that - so thanks for inspiring me and thanks for joining in at AJJ.
    Happy Friday..... Gill xx

  3. I would never have guessed the woman was nude until I saw what you meant by privacy. It's a typical Klimt masterpiece, though. I can see why it would inspire you to use it in your diary. I always love your diary day, and this one may be my favorite to date. Of course, it is even more special because you chose to share this with us at Art Journal Journey. It's a great first entry for Gill's theme, Yvonne.
