Hello T day friends, where we all gather at
to share a drinks related post.
But first of all I am sharing a digital tag
that I made for the challenge over at
the theme is.......'A night at the movies'
There are a few older movies that I can watch again and again
and have to admit when there is nothing worth watching on our TV they are my go to choices.
Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, Dances with Wolves, West Side Story, The Sound of Music to name a few. Of the more modern films it would be The Lord of the Rings collection and because I don't feel I have grown up yet [big laugh out loud] the Happy Potter series.
I always have a cuppa close by when I work on my photos in the computer
and I did have many to edit and look at after my trip to Carlisle Castle last week
This is a follow on to my last blog post, where I shared photos of the Weeping Window
This is a collage of some the Sculpture photos taken in other areas of the UK.
It was good to see this photo exhibition on display in the Castle grounds.
I added one of my own from my visit to Carlisle.
On the top floor of the museum building was an Art Exhibition
by modern artists called.... Remembrance 100
We did ask if we cold take photos, but when I was searching a link I saw that they had copyright
stamped over all the images. So I will leave it up to you if you want to go and take a look.
We had been snacking and drinking lots of water all day, but before we left, the aroma of hot meat pasties from the food tent was just too tempting.
We'd passed it a number of times during our visit and finally gave in and were not disappointed with the flavour.
Thank you for stopping by,
I hope you all have a lovely day.
Love your movie tag Yvonne!! I do love the old movies especially and can watch some over and over too:) Glad you enjoyed the exhibit and your special treat at the end-looks delicious. happy T day!

ReplyDeleteBrilliant tag and great post.x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful movie tag. I loved reading the list of your favorite movies. I just saw Dances With Wolves for the first time a month ago. And we love the Lord of the Rings series in out house. Great list.
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures of the poppies. I saw a few youtube videos on how they made those and it was so interesting. Such a great idea to remember fallen soldiers. And it looks magical.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Love the movie tag, thanks so much for joining us again at Tag Tuesday, much appreciated. You have good taste in films! Love the photos of the places you visited and the art exhibition. Happy T Day, Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeletethat movie tag is just awesome!! wonderful elements.
ReplyDeleteand i see you at work to make digital layouts. quite time consuming, but i like to do that, too. the reflections of the glass always are a challenge, i often give up...
have a great week and happy t-day:)
Great digi tag Yvonne, cleverly put together and also lovely photos of your trip, and yes glass always makes these things so hard to capture...
ReplyDeleteI adore your tag. I got to see Dirty Dancing on tv recently and LOVED it. Your tag has many lovely elements that made it a gem.
ReplyDeleteSTILL loving those poppies and the montage of the various castles they've been to is marvelous.
What a great chance to not only see the poppies, but the interior and displays at Carlisle Castle. They were marvelous. I LOVED the one tittle tattle war time poster.
It would be hard to resist the food when you had to walk past it several times. I'm glad you shared your meal and tea with us, as well as your visit to Carlisle Castle for T this Tuesday.
Love that movie tag Yvonne, nothing like a golden oldie to while away a few hours. Great photo's of your visit, just love those posters. It's difficult to walk away from a delicious smell, if only they could devise one for the housework hee hee!!
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day hugs Tracey xx
Loving your tag! I like how you used black and white and shades of grey. Sometimes those "colors" are all you need. And I love seeing the Poppy art on different buildings. They all look pretty amazing. and I like how it traveled around. I wonder how they moved it-I assumed they had to take it apart as it is huge. The military museum looks interesting too.And Happy T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteGreat tag Yvonne, and we have similar taste in films, especially love HP and LOTR!
ReplyDeletePasties look delicious!
Happy T-Day,
Alison xx
I like your tag. I don't do digital art but find it very interesting. Enjoyed the castle pics and info. I really like the war posters. Great graphics
ReplyDeleteA great digital tag and I think we all have a few favourite movies that we like to watch again and again.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see more photos of your visit to the Castle.

There is often 'nothing' to watch on TV... thank goodness we have a vast collection of movies to watch.. I like almost all of the ones you named... though i have never seen West Side Story.. The Cave is a go to movie of mine and Under the Tuscan Sun.... I could name many more.. Love your 'movies' tag! Just perfect! Happy happy T day! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteLove your tag, Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteYour list of favorite movies is the very same as mine. If we made the list longer, I'd add A Chistmas Carol, A Christmas Story, Father of the Bride and Eight Below. I enjoyed the pictures of important structures around the UK, but what are the streams of red running down most of the buildings?
I've never had a meat pasty, but it looks good.
Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
Eileen they are Poppy Sculptures like the one I showed in my previous post when we visited Carlisle.

Every night would be movie night if I had my way :) Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteI love your tag and the film list - I would add Serendipity and Moulin Rouge to the list! I think we will be watching quite a few while the World Cup is on as neither of us are great football fans! Loved seeing Carlisle Castle - haven't been since the grandchildren were little! Happy T Day - for that is where I am headed soon! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteYour movie tag is just brilliant dear Yvonne! Your list of films sounds brilliant! I am impressed with all the poppy place of this exhibits - really stunning!
ReplyDeleteThe pasties look delicious even though I wouldn't eat them.
I am happy that I always find something vegetarian when eating out.Even though it just were french fries lately ...lol.
Happy T-Day for you!
Hugs, Susi
i love your movie tag. Really captures the Golden Age of Hollywood. I had to laugh at your idea of old movies. My idea of old movies are ones from the 30s, 40s. 50s and not from the 70s and 80s. Guess my age is showing. You visited some very cool museums. I really like the WWII posters. Have a Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tag! The poppies are so amazing, I bet they were breathtaking to look at and I loved your photo collage :-) . I think I would be mesmerised by this display if I saw it up close. My friend actually has one of these poppies in her garden; she bought it when they sold them after they were exhibited in London. Your pasty looks delicious, I think I would have had to give in and try one too …lol ;-). Wishing you a Happy T Day! J x
ReplyDeleteI admit, I'm a Harry Potter fan too! Wonderful exhibits you've shown...happy T day!
ReplyDeleteGreat tag!
ReplyDeleteFabulous tag - I love all the great details you added!! Each time I looked, I saw something new!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's always a pleasure to see all the wonderful photos from your trips!
