Art..... a small word.

I think that words must  influence me quite a lot, especially when I am  am about to settle down for an afternoon in my craft room. Today my word of choice is.... art......

In this craft space I can give myself the freedom to try new things,
many  experiments don't work, but its good to try.
I cannot draw freehand, but I love stamps and computer generated images.
Colour  is also high on my list of priorities. to use in my journals,  as is getting messy
 and having paint everywhere

What is she  rambling on about you might  ask...
think for  a moment...... these are all....... words..
and that is my theme choice of
Words and Numbers
for this month over at Art Journal Journey.
So without realising it words were involved in the creating of my page,  in a number of ways.

In my thinking, out loud, on some of the stamps I used,
as well as my notes as I write this blog post

The background is  stencils , oxide inks and . a selection of stamped images with the words included.
The washi tape colours cheered me up as it is so frosty outside my window today.
Thank you for stopping by    you are very welcome here.

  1. This is beautiful, Yvonne. You sound a lot like me, except I don't stamp very well. I don't think I've ever stamped anything that turned out perfect. Fair, maybe, but not correct. However, you and I are both color driven, and we both love images. You created a beautiful second entry for the month and I love it. The colors are perfect, the composition is great, and it says everything you wanted to say. Thanks for sharing this and showing another great example of your theme for Art Journal Journey.

  6. I agree with you about experimenting in my craft room. Your latest piece shows some super results. And it also made me think about how I can also make a mess in my craft room, unlike the rest of my house. Smile. That is a super quote! Hugs-Erika
