Seek and you will find

I have been able  to just play in my craft room for a couple of afternoons recently.
Due to the wonderful English weather...... rain.... and oh my have we had our share these past few days and more to come .

A stencil sprayed with yellow paint, I obviously
hoped this would brighten the dull day.
I fussy cut the flower and coloured this to match up with the Studio Lights pop out
I wanted to use..
She is a bit sad all the rain has flattened the flowers in her garden. When it dries up I hope  the flowers will bloom again and she will find what she is looking for.
I will be joining the folk at Art Journal Journey
for Halle's theme..... Word to live by.

Thank you for calling in to see me, I hope you have a good day.

  5. This is brilliant, Yvonne. Starting with the background, this entry really brings out the warmth, rain or no rain. Very impressive, including the flower you fussy cut. Your little friend will soon learn that the ran that flattened the flower will also perk it up once the rain leaves. This is a "welcome to my wet world" moment. Thanks for sharing this beauty using Halle's theme at Art Journal Journey.

  9. It's certainly brightened my day (oh, this rain!) and made me realise again how rarely I use yellow... though a very delicate version of the colour has been sneaking its way into some landscapes I've been playing with lately! I love this little character, she's enchanting, and I'm sure her garden will perk up again soon with all her care and attention.

  10. Love these colors and your composition. I have an airplane plant I bought in a hanging basket at a flea market in 1981. I named her Baby because of all her little baby plants. Well, she is still alive and kicking, some 38 years later. She's in a ground planter now. And every winter or two Honey forgets to cover her and she looks dead. But by some miracle she always manages to thrive. Not as pretty and full anymore -- and I wish I could say she's still hanging in there hahaha -- Honey says he's going to put her back in a hanging pot. I'm like, don't touch her, what's not broke don't fix. xox
