I think these words will appeal to many folk.
I hardly every start a page in my journal knowing where it will end.
This started with stencils and stamps,
the image who's face I think has the look of her wanting to say.....
make my day....
The bees buzzing around are the workers we take for granted when we eat honey.
I scribbled the frame and decided to stop.
It was good to get a play with colour after being away from home
Another example from me for the Try it on Tuesdays theme......
......Make a mark.......
I will also be linking my journal page to...
Moo Mania and More.... Things with Wings theme

We are always made very welcome there with a drinks related post....
Have you spotted my mug of tea....

Last week at the National Land Rover Rally, with the family and friends, getting muddy and having a great time .
She [the landie] looks a bit cleaner in the photo on the right. The other photo is a view across the field from our caravan.
We'd not stayed in this area before so in our free time we visited a couple of National trust Houses as well.
More photos from me than usual today, I hope you like them.
After walking down a long drive, we were not disappointed when we saw what was around the corner...... Ascott House
I added a link to the history of the house and family.
No photos allowed inside and it was spectacular.
The paintings displayed were worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Your words about chaos and creativity certainly appeal to me :) Ascott House and those gardens look like a wonderful place to visit. I enjoyed the Wikipedia article you linked to. Thanks for the link. That library sounds like a dream! Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great page for both AJJ and TioT, Yvonne. I can really relate to the quote. Awww, you were thinking us while at the national range Rover Rally. I got a kick our of the tea cup on the bumper - sort of like Beauty and the Beast (grin).
ReplyDeleteAscott House and its gardens are impressive. This is or was a "substantial, but informal, country house?" I love shows like Downton Abbey an am just awed by the lifestyle.
Happy T-day! Eileen xx
wonderful journal page- how I love the look on that winged girl's face:):)Love how you captured your mug on the bumper-fun! Beautiful gardens and buildings.Looks like the weather cooperated. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteI loved your adorable journal page today. Lately, I've been preparing my journal entries before I glue or sew them in place. I've made too many mistakes in the past, and don't have the confidence you have. I think your quote is perfect, though. Thanks for sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey using Halle's theme, dear.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised the place you visited was so far south. For some reason, I pictured it would be near the northern part of your country. Ascott House is certainly a beautiful place, though. The gardens are lush and green. I was impressed by all the art that was there (from the Wiki site). I loved the manicured lawn, trees, and hedges, too. Your photos brought it all to life for me.
Laughed at your mug on the bumper of the Land Rover. Of course, I also was thrilled to see your "cuppa" and that toasted sandwich and lovely salad you shared with us for T this Tuesday. I actually loved it all this week.
I forgot to ask. What is a ploughman's platter? I envision a plough and a horse in a field (grin).
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this post-the off roading looks like allot of fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the quote on your page and can relate to that for sure- and Yes I really enjoyed all the photos thanks so much for sharing-Happy T Kathy
I love the mug on the front bumper. That was very unique and clever. And wow, Ascott House has gorgeous gardens. I clicked on your link and it is a fascinating place. That was a lucky find and a good place to visit. And super art journal page today. The quote is perfect for me. I can honestly say my art dos come out of chaos, if no way else my messy work table. Happy T day Yvonne. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteTruer words have not been spoken. :) Love that so much!! I also enjoyed seeing your son's mudding truck. I've done a bit of that myself...of course that was a very long time ago. LOL
ReplyDeleteI have plenty of chaos here, trying to get rid of some! And your page is wonderful, such a cute and fun page. Looks like you had fun with the family in your trucks. Ascott House looks beautiful, thanks for sharing the photos. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

ReplyDeleteThank you for supproting AJJ, MM&M and TIOT at once today with this AMAZING art. Oh yes - I often have a kind of vision of my planned pages - but often they turn out completely different from this in the end! I know what you mean!
Wow - the landie lady of your son looks really powerful and I bet this meeting was fantastic again! Specially for the men in your family - an we girls enjoy seeing our men happy - am I right?!
I am in awe of this Ascott House - what a stately home - just impressive!
And I learnt a new to me term for a meal ... ploughman's platter... think it's the same as the Austrian and Bavarian hefty treat people here call - Brettljause -
Happy T-Day dear Yvonne!
Big hugs, Susi
this is MY quote, i could have invented it;)
ReplyDeletelove your photos:) i´m always a bit frustrated when i´m not allowed to take photos inside, but then: meanwhile i recognized i better concentrate on the things i see this way. being more in the moment. (well, the memory thing is another point...)

Fabulous page! Your stamped girl and bees are perfect and I definately relate to the words that you used ...lol š. Wow, the off road Land Rover looks amazing, I bet it's fun driving it even if you were to get covered in mud from the field ...lol š. I enjoyed visiting the country house with you and reading the link, it looks a stunning place to visit and your photos are wonderfu! After all that exploring, I'm sure your cuppa and toasted sandwich were very welcome too - yum! I hope you are having a wonderful week so far and sending you happy T Day wishes! Jo x
ReplyDeleteLovely artwork and wonderful assortment of photos. The grounds of that property are beautiful. Happy T-Day!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful is this page. Love the bees and the lovely image.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to see your fantastic photos.
I might be the odd one - chaos makes me itchy. I like things at least somewhat orderly. I often start with the idea for a piece of art and have it turn into something else along the way before I finish though. That is the fun in creativity for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm like Darla, chaos does not make me creative. It just makes me want to have a little order before I will do anything. But I like you mrs Bee creation.
ReplyDeleteAscott House is beautiful! I have never visited it while we had out NT membership. I see now what we have missed. That little island in the middle of the pond is interesting. It reminds me of the Princess Diana monument or burial place. I can't quite remember what it was, but I remember a little island....
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
Oh Yes!!! Although it is easier to 'lose' stuff too but sometimes it just has to happen!! I love this page! Ascott House does look interesting! I love seeing you Land Rover photos - brings back happy memories! Happy T day ! Chrisx

Another gorgeous background for your page, Yvonne, and I enjoyed looking at your June planner and the Northern Lights piece, too. Also, the Ascott House and grounds as well as your tempting sandwich! LOL I love those old estates. I have a rubber stamp of Penshurst in Kent and a few castles, too. Couldn't resist them. xoxo
