Hello to everyone who calls in to see me today.
Its Tuesday and its T day over at
where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post.
I think I am going to enjoy using these
Prima ... Words you need pieces.
this one I can relate to, as each week a friend and myself sit and drink tea, putting to world to rights and enjoying a good chatter.
Our husbands often ask what we find to talk about , but we say that after 50 or so years of friendship, does it really matter. We are the family we chose for ourselves.
This page features a lot of yellow, for the base layer, some random stamping
torn scraps of material and some flower die cuts. This gives me the opportunity to join the folk over at
and Rike's theme ... The Colour Yellow
So what else have I been up to this week
I decided I needed to make a couple of all purpose cards
and as the current Try it on Tuesdays theme is...... Powder your....
this was where I found my cue for inspiration
Mr Fox was presiding over the session which began like this....
A couple of the finished cards...

We also took advantage of the brighter days we have been enjoying recently .
taking a trip to the coast where a few brave folk were also out taking the sea air.
It was bright even when the clouds were rolling in from the sea but, it was still very cold.
Our destination was see a little of the coast beside St Mary's Lighthouse.
Another area about 20 miles from where we live
Looking North
Getting Closer to the Island, the tide was coming in.
This last photo from the north of the lighthouse
shows how the weather was changing later in the morning.
The tide had come in , cutting the island from the mainland.
Thank you all for calling in, I hope you have a good day.
I seem to be having problems leaving comments on some of my blog friends blogs ,
some of the words I have typed are missing from my comment.
Apologies , I haven't a clue how this is happening or what to do.
Any ideas would be welcome.
Hi, you live in a gorgeous area-I always wanted to visit a Lighthouse-they have such history and charm.
ReplyDeleteLove your cards and art-Happy T Hugs Kathy
Beautiful artwork and photos. Happy T-Day!
ReplyDeleteYour latest entry for Rike's theme at Art Journal Journey is charming, and oh so appropriate. I agree that when my foodie friend Sally and I get together, we also talk about setting the world right. I agree that if you have a friend who feels like family, you can always find things to discuss. This is another incredible entry you shared with us at Art Journal Journey, dear Yvonne.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your fox. He is fabulous. Very stately in fact. I'd be happy just staring at that mug, but having a warm drink in it would make it even better. I'm loving your latest cards. They are breathtaking, and the embossing is even better. Thanks for sharing your art, your cards, and Mr. Fox with us for T this Tuesday.
Your journal page is lovely. The muted yellows and die cuts are elegant together.
ReplyDeleteI agree, it doesn't always matter what you are discussing as long as you enjoy each others company.
A beautiful lighthouse in a gorgeous setting.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
The cards you have made are gorgeous, and I love the piece with the picture of the people sitting outside having a drink. That's something I love to do, too. The fox mug is soooooo lovely, it must make the drink very special. Have a happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

ReplyDeleteOh dear I hope my blog isn't treating you badly! No one has complained to me and I have no clue...except the Moo Mania blog was doing that to my comments I had to leave because the linky would not work for me. I remember that not everything I'd typed got posted! At any rate, I love your yellow page and love the idea behind it. And those delicate and lovely roses cards are gorgeous. Sounds like it was a fun trip to the lighthouse, too! xxo
ReplyDeleteA wonderful page and gorgeous cards Yvonne! Lovely seaside photos too.
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
A gorgeous coastline! What a view! Happy T Day :)
ReplyDeleteI think most women can identify with the 'wasting time' with a best friend. I like the setting you put it in too, all those beautiful yellows.
ReplyDeleteThose rose cards are very pretty. I'm sure whoever receives them will be very pleased.
I enjoyed the walk along the coast from my armchair. No chilly wind! It certainly is a beautiful place.
Happy belated T-Day,
Lisca
That is a lovely illustration of friendship. It looks good with the background of pale yellow. I often wonder myself what we talk about with friends as we can chat non-stop for hours.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see your photographs of the beach. It's chilly and misty here today after weeks of ridiculously warm weather.
As for the comments problem, one blogger said she solved this problem by changing her browser to Chrome.
Yellow was a fun color for February, and your art is beautiful. Yes, I can relate to "wasting" time with a good friend.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the photos of the light house, they have always fascinated me.
Sorry about the late re-visit for T-day.
Beautiful work and lovely photos of the light house. I love light houses. We recently visited several on our trip to Maine.
