Painting dreams, well in this case exploring the colour yellow.
This is a mixed media page for the current theme at ....
where Rike is hosting this month;s theme....... The Colour Yellow
The page began with torn book papers, washi tape and some Jane Davenport tissue images.
Sprinkles of brusho powders, some splats , there is even a bit of random stamping , followed by some yellow water colour paint. The words were computer generated.
Thank you for calling in to see what I have been creating,
I hope you all have a good day.
Cool page Yvonne - warm in colour though :)

This just looks FANTASTIC dear Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteI recognized that yellow is the new fashion colour for spring as I was shopping with my daughter recently. It would never look good on me. Your ladies look fantastic in yellow!!!
Happy weekend and thank you very much for joining AJJ again! You
know how much your wonderful support is appreciated!
Big hugs, Susi
Your page is gorgeous! I like the different shades of yellow and how you got the JD ladies into the foreground with these cool circles! And I like the quote!
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking this wonderful piece to AJJ!
Wish you a happy weekend! Rike x
Yes, I too was admiring the way the ladies are brought together in the circles. Nice work with all the yellow, in fact all yellow with black, that's so effective.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Yvonne! I love it. Eileen xx
ReplyDeleteThis is really a gorgeous journal page, Yvonne. I love the sketchy ladies with the frame and the burst of yellow. This page just makes me happy!
ReplyDeleteKate
Bright and light...I am starting a journal book so hope they turn out as nice as this one.xx
ReplyDeleteI really LIKE that background, Yvonne. I like how you layered the book pages over each other so none could really be read. Very clever. I also liked the yellow checkered strips you added. But the end result was simply stunning. This is a genuine beauty. Thanks for once again supporting Art Journal Journey by sharing your art with us,
ReplyDeleteA fantastic page Yvonne, I love the composition and the way you have used the yellow xxx
ReplyDeleteA beautiful display Yvonne, love that warm yellow washi and with Jane's girls it give the whole journal page such zest.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words yesterday they mean a lot *Thank YOU*
Wishing you a wonderful weekend of creativity.

I like how you used these abstract ladies. They looks great in the frame and that yellow tape makes a really great pop of color! perfect. Hope you have a great weekend Yvonne. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteFabulous page Yvonne, great to see how you built it up and the end result looks fantastic! Wonderful use of yellow also, sunny but not too over powering, - fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteAnother sunny beauty of a page! Wow, you must get a better selection of JD stuff over there than we do. Or else everything is always sold out here. I did manage to get a JD stamp of a girl with flowing hair and a unicorn die set. Can't wait to use that one. It will be my attempt at whimsical! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a so gorgeous Art journal page Yvonne !! Love how you have created it, with the beautiful washi tape, tissu and book page, then the colours, the layers, every detail is magnifique !! as always I adore your art.
