Happy New Year

Happy New Year.

The page was made with a stencils background after I had added a torn picture  from an old calendar. It is a stamped clock and I added TH word quotes.
These two friends are waiting for the clock to strike twelve so they can welcome the  New Year.. They wore their warm woolly scarves as it is going to be a cold winters night.

I will add this last entry for the month to

Tis the seasom or My favourite season
I have really enjoyed this theme Elizabeth.

My lovely family know I like the ALL&create stamps and I was lucky to get some    for Christmas. This is one of them beside my cuppa . I know I will get lots of crafting fun using  them in the coming weeks.

For fun and knowing how I love my cups of tea this large tin cup and saucer was also a gift.
Its sitting  on the kitchen  window ledge  and  is  the right size  to hold   my indoor  parsley plant.
The frost usually gets to the one
 I have in the garden.

I hope I will be able to link up  later  to
T stands for Tuesday and visit with the folk there
Bleubeard and Elizabeth always make us feel very welcome with a drinks related post.

I would  like to wish everyone a very Happy  Healthy and Peaceful 2019.

Lets Party
My last Diary Day of the year.
I added more colour this week to an already bright page.
Of course I used stencils and random stamping for the background,
why change  my favourite  additions to my weekly diary pages.
Hugo and Fifi  [PA stamps] are busy making cakes for the  New Years  Party on Tuesday .

As its nearly New Year's Eve I will link this page to

Snow is falling

A hybrid journal page to share with you today.

Straight away I will tell you that this water colour painting is one of my husbands, which he used to make my Christmas card.
So its a bit of a joint effort.
I asked for a photo  before he made the card  and  I used it in my digital program to create this  Winter scene.

for their .... Tis the Season or My favourite season theme .

Thank you for calling in to see me today,  I hope you had a lovely Festive  Holiday.

Diary Day...... Peace on Earth

I have really struggled to get a good photo of this coming weeks diary page.

I used gesso to cover the background colours, with a sprinkle of brusho powder.
A stamped image today  that I think sends its own message without needing  many more additions.
I finished the page with   some stencils   using modeling paste for texture.

This page will also  fit  the current
Art Journal Journey theme
set by Bleubeard on Elizabeth this month.
Tis the Season or My Favourite season,......... so I will pop over and link it there.

It is the season when we  celebrate the birth of the infant Jesus.
A time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.

I hope you all have a lovely peaceful and happy day.

Summer on a winters day

Depending on where you live in our world, you may be  enjoying some warm summer weather,
So I am sending some sunshine
to  friends who like me are experiencing our cold frosty, winter weather..

I will be calling in to say hello to friends over at Bleubeard and Elizabeths, where each Tuesday we are given a very warm welcome  when we share a drinks related post.
Crayons, inks, stencils and washi tape were all used on this page . I added the sunny scene which was torn from an old gifted calendar .
I did stamp the flowers but ended up re stamping and fussy cutting the flower heads.

Santa joined me for a cuppa today, before he has his busiest day of the year. . The evergreen plants  close  to the house  are still looking healthy
although most of our trees are bare.
I pondered at first on how to get a photo without reflections  of  the  well lit lounge with its open door, but gave up,  it  looked interesting as if there  was a door opening in the garden.
The light does strange things at this time of the year.

Thank you all for stopping by, its very much appreciated at this busy time of the year.

I will also link my journal page to
Bleaubeard and Elizabeth's

A most wonderful time of the year.

A winter page for  Bleubeard and Elizabeths theme over at....
Tis the season or My favourite season.
I was trying to have a bit of a tidy up on my craft desk yesterday.
A cold frosty day with some snow which I am pleased to say was gone by this morning.
I had been writing family  Christmas cards and came across  a box of card toppers[saved from cards sent to our family] . I was  looking for envelopes. I have always said  'I am a very untidy crafter'.
This skating scene just had to be used, so I  created a page for  this month AJJ theme.
A sprayed brusho background, random grass stamped images which didn't turn out so well. the topper, a few die cut trees and word quote.

Thank you for stopping by at this busy time of the year,
I do appreciate your comments.

Diary Day.... Let it snow

Mr Frosty is making an appearance on today's journal diary pages
and as it also a winter page I will be joining the folk st
where Bleubeard and Elizabeths theme for the month is...
Tis the Season or My Favourite Season

It was a background that didn't need to much covering up today. A bit of pale blue distress ink  watered down and wiped over the page with a baby wipe and white gesso.  The stamps are TH,
and old ones that have long lost their  maker's name.

Thank you for calling in today, you are always very welcome here.

Spring

A page for Bleubeard and Elizabeths theme
My favourite season or Tis the season over at
This page has me thinking back to the blue skies of late spring into summer as the days get brighter and longer. Good thoughts to have on a cold grey day like it is here  today.

The   photo  is quite close  to the actual colours I used.  A water coloured and inky base, and stenciled blossoms, I also  used  white  modeling paste,
leaving it uncoloured as I hoped it would look a bit like spring blossoms.

I stamped and fussy cut a dragon fly
[All&Create stamps] and added some small Crafty Individuals  pictures from my stash showing a pretty bluebell wood.

I did add the stitching in the digital program I use. I would love to use my old sewing machine, but it needs work and I cannot even  thread the needle, so I opt for the easy option for me.

Thank you for stopping by, your visit is very much appreciated .

Guess Who's Coming..... Its Santa ... at TioT's

Guess Who's Coming.... Its Santa
This is our last theme of the year over at Try it on Tuesdays

We do hope you will come and join us and have some Festive Fun.
Please pop over and see what we and our Guest Designer  have all been making .

My card is a simple layered card with a TH Santa stamp
The image was water coloured and the extra shading is distress oxide ink.
The wooded deer  I covered with gilding wax.

Like most folk I think I have an all time favourite Christmas stamp to use, you may have seen this a few times over the years on my blog and I couldn't resist stamping him up again this year.

Another layered card, this time with an embossed layer.
Watercoloured and trimmed with ribbon.

Thank you for calling in to see me today, you are always very welcome here.

You are invited to.............

Hello  everyone who calls in to see me today.
I will be joining folk  over at
where  its T stands for Tuesday
and we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post.

My imagination went a bit wild today  after I had stamped these two rabbit images into my journal page. Its a dull winters day and the trees are bare.

I wondered if they thought about  having a rabbit tea party and inviting their friends. Would they have cake if they could. Or, would it be carrots and lettuce. So for fun I gave them  cup cakes
[digital additions to my page].

I even joined them with my cuppa
and some home made granola  flapjack biscuits.

Hubby bought me this festive mug 'fabYULEous'.
The picture is of a chocolate Yule log wearing a festive hat.
It did make me smile.

I will also link my page to
are also hosting the theme this month.

Thank you for calling in I hope you have a great day.

Autumn leaves

A hybrid page from me today, I thought we had had the last of the falling leaves
a couple of weeks ago, but after some very strong winds, there they were,
 gathered again in
different parts of the garden.

I used gesso as the base, scraping it on with a piece of plastic followed by a little random stamps and splatters. the harvest mice and seed were cut outs from a calendar.  The leaves and words are computer generated [notes in my sidebar]. I was going to cut out some stamped leaves, but the fingers were  not very happy with idea today after cutting out the mice,
they just refused to hold onto the scissors any longer.

I will be linking my page to
where Bleubeard and Elizabeth are hosting the theme for this month...

Friday's.........Winter Diary

Friday Diary day and the end of  the year is approaching rapidly.

I used  gesso to cover the coloured pre printed page added the birds, which were torn from a napkin.
I have yet to see a blue feathered robin.
I used my winter foliage stencil with white paste as well as some distress oxide inks., ending off with a few splashes of white paint.

I will add my Winter dairy  page to Bleubeard and Elizabeths theme
My Favourite season or Tis the season over at

Thank you for calling in today, you are always welcome here.

Seeds and the Seasons

A page in my 6 x 6 inch journal page which began with a few splodges of white paint and some torn book paper.  I had already found this  picture and the stamp of a seed head that I wanted to use.
I used distress ink for the extra shading.

the theme for this month set for us by  Bleubeard and Elizabeth is....
My Favourite season or... Tis the Season.

I think every season brings its own beauty.
This seed head  made me think that when the seeds are scattered and the seasons change, time passes,
nature will work its magic and come the spring we will see the flowers bloom again.
[I am happy this evening as I actually managed to add my link to AJJ]

Thank you for calling in today, you are very welcome here.

Winter moments

A page from my digital journal today and if all goes well I will   have added  a version of this  as my new blog banner. It  has been a few days in the making to get all the image layers in place.

I liked this quote , it is to easy these days to speed onto the next task
and not take time for the now.
Moments should be remembered and treasured.

In the meanwhile I have been on a mission to ... First.....  finish making some Christmas cards.
Next..... make some inserts.
Last... get them written.
Finally..... get myself to the local post post office later in the week and get them on their way.

All this did involve a number of cups of my favourite brew,
so I will say hello to friends at
where they always make us very welcome  on Tuesdays with a drinks related post..

I will also add my page to Bleubeard and Elzabeth's theme...
.My favourite seasom  or Tis the Season for the month at
 Art Journal Journey

There is nothing better than returning home on cold  winter days.

This photo is from our upstairs window on Sunday.
We couldn't see the valley for clouds , but peeping out through the cloud was the spire of  the village church on the other side of the river.
The wire you see is the telephone wire.

Thank you for calling by to see me , I hope you have a great day.

Winter visitors

Winter's garden birds are always welcome .
It can be cold,  grey, frosty,  yet they call in  and if we are lucky they will sing their own song.

I did remember to take a couple of photos in the making of this page. The  base had a few random stamps.
Next came a torn robin  picture from an old calendar.
I added some texture stencils  of winter foliage and decided not to add colours. It was  when I added the words that I added a little distress oxide shading.

For December our  lovely hosts
have set the new theme for the month at

Tis the Season or My Favourite Season

For this page I chose Winter as a Favourite season.
I'm not sure I can say I do have an actual favourite, but as the month goes by I know I am going to enjoy this theme.

Thank you for calling in today to see me, you are always welcome here
