Thinking of Spring

Spring
is the new theme for March chosen for us  for us by Rosie
who is hosting this month  at

This is a photo of my page in its early stages
A sprayed ink background with a country scene torn from an old calendar.
I really have had to use my imagination for spring these past days.  We have deep snow the temperatures are in the minus numbers and the wind is making it even colder.
Anyway, I chose a scene that shows the trees in lovely shades of green and a peaceful river, not like the snow  storm that is blowing outside my window.
I added a torn napkin of some spring flowers and some embossing to add a little texture.
The words were computer generated.

I will also go and join in at
for the theme over there......Think of Spring.

Thank you for calling in to see me today
and if it is snowing where you are stay safe and warm.

  2. You are such a pro to bring different things together and let them look so homogeneous ! The textures, layers and great colours together make a masterpiece again and I just can say THANK you so much for linking so quickly to the new theme Yvonne! Same bad weather here--- even though they said from today on it should get warmer...no... even more snow again. But I have started my house spring cleaning now - I am sure this will bring us spring!! And if not, at least my house looks neat and tidy!
Happy rest of the day-- stay warm and take good care of you!

  3. A lovely page Yvonne, full of warmth and spring colours. Like you we have a 'white' landscape and swirling snow outside.

  5. You have certainly put winter in your rear view mirror when it comes to this beautiful spring inspired page. Regardless of the temps and weather outside, your beautful journal page has us all thinking spring. I love the spraying, the texture, and the background in general. It is a wonderful first entry for us at Art Journal Journey, dear Yvonne.

The weather is really cold isn't it and it looks like you have way more snow than we have here - brrrr! Stay warm and wishing you a Happy March! J 😊 x

  10. I like the start and then seeing the finish. The flowers from the napkin really add to the scene. It all looks so pretty and mild, not like our present weather.

  12. A beautiful springtime page, we can dream of warmer days and green leafy trees to help us through the wintry weather we are having at present. We have even got snow down here in Dorset today, which is really quite rare.

  14. Pretty spring page Yvonne. I like that pretty bridge. Another napkin? And sorry to hear about your cold and snow. When March is more like January it is always a little bit of a downer. Hope it warms up and goes away soon. Hugs-Erika
