Today's journal page started life in a colouring book.
My first task was to make myself a brew, so I could join up with friends at
where we are always made welcome with a drinks related post
I made an instant cappuccino again today, they never get as frothy as the photo on the box, but they do taste good and make a change to my preferred tea.
Fussy cutting this rabbit was not going to be easy and after much deliberation I sketched around the shape and cut that out. Mr Rabbit was coloured with pencils
I also needed to cut out some flowers and leaves these were computer generated.. .
The base of the page is Kraft card, which I roughly coloured with white gesso. Leaf stamps were added using distress inks.
I will add my journal page over at
Art Journal Journey
to Rosie's theme of Spring
However you spend this Tuesday, I hope you have a lovely day.

ReplyDeleteLove your floral rabbit, so pretty, and you made it into a wonderful page. Glad you enjoyed your cappuccino. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLove that rabbit, what a beautiful design, perfect words we all need to take heed of. Those instant drinks are a firm family favourite in our house with my Daughter using a mini whisk to get that frothier look usually sending it flying everywhere when she over fills the mug hee hee!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday Yvonne..
Creative wishes Tracey x
Your rabbit page is just AWESOME! You are such a clever Art Journaler Yvonne! Happy T-Day - the cappuccino looks very good - I should buy me this instant packages as well- but I don't like that they all have at least some sugar in it. Have to look if there is a sugarfree product to get as instant coffee cappuccino as well. Happy T-Day and thanks so much for such a beautiful entry for Rosie's theme! You are such a supportive soul! Your art always makes me happy!

ReplyDeletesuch a lovely Spring page Yvonne. Love the floral rabbit and how you coordinated teh background of your page to match the style. Wishing you a great week and happy T day too!
ReplyDeleteI like how you use coloring images on a journal page. I never thought of that until I saw you do it-it is a very clever idea. You know I have never tried a cappuccino? I think they are kind of coffee-ish (shows how sophisticated I am). :) I think one day I might taste one, but I do like tea. Anyhow, love your page today and that pretty spring mug too. Happy T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful page!

ReplyDeleteI love your spring rabbit! Sometimes it's nice to have a change from the usual. I'm usually a morning coffee person, but sometimes I switch to spice tea or swiss mocha just for something different. Happy T Tuesday!

I was just about to leave you a comment last night when my internet went down. I tried everything I knew to get it back, so decided to call AT&T. However, when I tried to use the phone, all I got was static, so I knew it was something on their end. It’s very frustrating playing the waiting game.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your rabbit, and like the idea of drawing an outline so the fussy cutting is not so difficult. It's a gorgeous rabbit and perfect for Rosie's theme at Art Journal Journey. So glad you shared it there.
I really MUST see if they make a cappuccino product like that here in the states. It looks wonderful, even if there isn't as much froth. So glad you made it again and loved seeing it in your darling lamb mug, too. Thanks for sharing this with us for T this Tuesday and again, I'm very sorry I was late getting here.
Mr Rabbit looks fantastic in that beautiful background! A great page Yvonne!

love your arty rabbit
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to sketch around your gorgeous rabbit instead of fussy cutting out! It is a beautiful result for the whole picture, I like the flowers in the background and your added leaves with the quote!
ReplyDeleteWish you a happy day!

What a gorgeous rabbit! Good idea to cut all around it. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteYes, I like that capuccino too. We always used to have a box of those in the campervan, as a treat. (they contain loads of sugar).
Happy (belated) T-Day,
Lisca
What a amazing rabbit! I love the colors and the patterns. What a great quote. I wish I could smell flowers right now but I guess I will have to wait until spring.
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Tea Day,
Kate
