''Spring is on its way''
nobody has told our weather this fact.
Weather warnings and only some main roads getting cleared. Some folk have been stranded in their cars for hours in very bleak conditions.
So, 'Snow', has kept us home this week and today it's been more of the same conditions.. so what an excuse to have a few extra hours in my craft room.
Thank goodness for a well stocked freezer and larder at
times like these.
This grey page needed cheering up.
. After colouring in the flowers,
I used a Paper Artsy stamp and fussy cut the bird house. Some animals torn from a napkin and as you see one of my favourite stencils and colourful oxide inks..
I will also share this page with the folk at
Art Journal Journey
for Rosie's theme.....'Spring'.
..................................................................
I also made a tag for the current challenge theme of
Spring Flowers at..............
Tag Tuesday
Above you can see the hybrid version of the tag that I created for the Tag Tuesday theme
The spring flowers were computer generated.
The base of the tag was coloured with oxide inks. A little random script stamping, with some stencilled foliage.
The stamps I used were free with a magazine. The tag with the rabbit will be going off to a a crafting penfriend.
I have been using my computer quite a bit as well this week.

which I am sharing here, comes with a reminder that there is still a few days left if you would like to join the current

Thank you for calling in to see me today, you are always very welcome here.

Wow! You have been busy Yvonne! Beautiful artworks!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend,
Alison xx
Beautiful art - the Spring tag is so happy. And your digital art is impressive.
ReplyDeleteHope your weather improves quickly. Sounds like your winter weather waited until almost spring to arrive. We don't get Siberian weather here but we get Canadian Clippers that come down from the Arctic. Not fun and probably similar to that Siberian weather. But on the good news you've created some fantastic art by staying in. Your calendar spread is so bright and colorful-like spring should be! And your tags are beautiful as is your digital piece. We have had heavy wind and rain today-luckily not snow or we would have been dumped on and it was a good art day for me too. happy weekend! Stay warm inside. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteFabulous post, love it...love the fabulous little tree house too.x[aNNie' blog] 🐇
ReplyDeleteI always love your calendar pages. What got me was those two pages look NOTHING like the original you started with. Talk about a makeover. This is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI also love your spring inspired tags, too. And of course, I love the vintage inspired digital art, too. You do digital SO well.
beautiful digital page! I love the vintage images. Your journal page is so vibrant and rich it reminds me of spring. Love it!
ReplyDeleteKate
Beautiful digital pages and I love your diary, and of course the tag for Tag Tuesday is absolutely gorgeous, thanks so much for joining us. We got a huge load of snow overnight, it looks really bleak outside, so I will stay home today. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pages ... love them all!!
ReplyDeleteThere is no better excuse than the weather to keep us indoors and craft, what a beautiful collection of artwork, tags and printed pages Yvonne. Well done on your well stocked freezer, I have been helping make sure that family unable to get out have enough to see them through this very bleak weather. Hoping to get some crafty time myself this weekend now I know everyone else is provided for.
ReplyDeleteCreative wishes Tracey xx
You were so busy and all three pieces are so beautiful! I love your fantastic spring scene in the diary! Your diary is going to become a wonderful book of art! Thanks for linking this to Rosie's AJJ collection dear Yvonne!Much appreciated!♥
ReplyDeleteThe tag is so beautiful - I love the colors of the tag - the original is terrific and I am sure your friend will be happy about it and the digital additions make it even more pretty, but I love especially the blue/green quality of the original tag! Your wonderful digital Tiot Vinatge reminder collage is so pretty as well! Have a great Saturday!

Fabulous pieces Yvonne, especially the first one as it is so colourful and happy looking.
ReplyDeleteWhat a week eh? we had more snow last night but hopefully the worst of the icy winds and snow is over
and the UK can start getting back to normal.
The temperature is above zero here, the first time in days yeay! :)

Wow, I'm loving all your crafty playtime creations 😁. Your diary pages are so joyful with the happy colours and fun animals, it makes me smile as they look like they are having a wonderful time playing in all those flowers. That's such a lovely flower stencil too, I may have to have a look out for one of those 😁. Your tag is perfect for spring and I love your digital vintage page for TioTs too - beautiful! Let's hope the weather gets more spring-like soon, all our snow has gone now and we still have cold temperatures and strong winds. Stay warm and Happy Weekend! J 😊 x
ReplyDeleteI especially love your diary spread - hoping the thaw will speed up and we will have some sunshine soon! Your tags and vintage page look fabulous too of course! Stay warm! Hugs,Chrisx
ReplyDeleteIs so nice that some beautiful art can get made out of a bad weather spell! I'm having fun this morning seeing what you have all been doing during the "beast from the east" spell! Great diary spread & the wooden birdhouse/flowers tag......lovely!
