I enjoyed making this digital silhouette styled page as a reminder for the theme
Create a scene at....
Create a scene at....
Try it on Tuesdays
which has another week for you to join in .
Its the end of the day and the bikers are returning home
It will also be my last entry to Halle's theme at
Art Journal Journey.
Where she has hosted and inspired us this past month with her theme...
A Stitch in Time.
Thank you Halle
Like all my journal stitching the page was framed with digital stitches.
We used to cycle as a family when they were young, especially on holidays,
the first thing I would do when we got home was to put the kettle on for a brew,
the family preferred a cool iced drink but ,Tea has always been my go to drink
Hello friends at Bleubeard and Elizabeths
where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post.
My tea is beside me as I write up this post,
Yorkshire Tea is my brand of choice,
a traditional blend that I can drink with a splash of milk
or strong and dark depending on how I am feeling at the time.
Thank you for calling in today,
you are always welcome here.
Stay safe.

Wow, you created a spread that satisfied two challenges. Pretty amazing. I like the riders on their bikes. I used to ride a bike everywhere, too. My friend Scott now stays about six blocks from me, and often rides his bike to my house. We do the social distancing outside, but I won't be riding a bike anytime soon. I love what you created, though. And to add the "stitching" around the outside is marvelous. It's a great final entry for Halle's theme at Art Journal Journey, too.
ReplyDeleteI've never had Yorkshire tea. In fact, I'd never heard of it, so looked it up on the internet and saw it is the most used tea in the UK. Looks like you are in good company. And of course, I like that mug, too. Thanks for sharing your art and your Yorkshire tea with us for T this Tuesday, dear Yvonne.
What a great digi page Yvonne. A brilliant scene and I can understand why you enjoyed making it! They say you never forget how to ride a bike - as it's been almost 40 years since I've been on one, I don't think I'll be trying anytime soon!! x
ReplyDeleteYour silhouette art is beautiful. We love cycling, though it can be rather exhausting these days.
ReplyDeletebe well... mae at maefood.blogspot.com

Super page, has a very cool feeling and look to it. Lovely silhouette with the city behind. Great looking tea tin and cup too. Hugz
ReplyDeleteWhat a great piece to round up A Stitch in Time! Black and white photos are a love of mine.
ReplyDeleteHappy T day!
Beautiful silhouette scene, Yvonne. We used to bicycle around town with our son too. Nice memories.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen
A gorgeous page! I love the silhouettes of the bike riders.I grew up in Holland where children are practically born on a bicycle! And people in the Netherlands still use the bike for everything. Even royalty rides a bike.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very happy T-Day,
Hugs (These ones are allowed, but oh I so crave real hugs),
Lisca
That is such a lovely page with the silhouettes Yvonne.Never tried Yorkshire tea but i bet it's good. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful digital spread. That background of buildings against the cyclist looks like the perfect way to exercise.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate

ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Yorkshire Tea, but it looks like it could be ordered here. I love the mug :) Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteSweet digital page and your tea looks yummy! Enjoy your week :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful page! I'm loving your digital scene, the bikes look fabulous in silhouette and I love the soft yellow glow of the sun - perfect 😀. Such a great mug and tea tin, there is nothing like a good cup of Yorkshir tea - cheers! Sending you Happy T Day wishes and wishing you well! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI haven't cycled for a few years but we used to do the same thing when my daughter was young. Looking at this great page I realize how much I miss it. It was a good way to spend time together. And you can never go wrong with a good cup of tea. Hope it was a nice T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteLovely digital page as always you inspire...xx
ReplyDeleteNice page. I haven't ridden a bicycle in decades. I wonder if I still remember how? Oh, I found Yorkshire tea bags on a shopping outing with a friend a couple of years ago. I liked the sheep on the box and the tea was very nice, too. Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteYour art piece is truly stunning. With covid and the way our town doesn't mask up or distance we have put our bike away for now. There is nothing like a nice hot cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteGreat piece! Great tea too!
ReplyDeleteSally xx
What a lovely scene Yvonne! Sadly my cycling days are over, last time we went out we were on a narrow road with a big dip between road and grass verge and I was terrified every time a car passed me! I don't need that kind of stress! Tony loves Yorkshire tea and as you know I am a coffee drinker!
ReplyDeleteBelated T Day Wishes! Chrisx
