A hybrid journal page to share today for Halle's June theme at
A stitch in time
I had a mop up / stencil base to use in my journal, even some faux stitching and had collected a few scraps of material together.
I thought I had a plan, but after leaving the pile together on the table for a few days, what ever my muddled head had thought it would do, disappeared out to look for other ideas.
My easier option at this stage was to add some digital images. I have seen Frida featured in a few blog friends posts recently and this was the route I took.
All joined together with some more faux stitching .
Thank you for stopping by, I hope you are having a good day.
Stay safe and well.

Wonderful piece, love the colours, and with Frida as the star it has to be very special! Well done on creating this beauty. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie

Wonderful page, love your Frida and the gorgeous design here.xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious and beautiful digital and hybrid entry, Yvonne. I really LOVE what you created, even if it wasn't what you couldn't remember what you originally were going to create. VERY impressive, dear and a beautiful entry for Halle's theme at AJJ, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! xx
ReplyDeleteNice your side with the Frida, great idea to compensate the parts with each other as a background!

Nicely done, I like the strong colors. Funny how we have something in mind to start with and it shifts to something else as we go along.
ReplyDeleteI do like this Frida page. I love how you do the hybrid pieces so they really look like you cut out images and used put them in your journal. That is brilliant. Nice color too. Hope life is going well Yvonne. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteLovely hybrid piece and always a pleasure to see Frida peering out from someone's crafting. I think I have about three rubber stamp images of her, I must check them. Love how you built the page up but I know exactly what you mean about having an idea and then it completely disappearing before you have time to do it. Do you also write things down and then forget what they are for? I do.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Neet xx
So cool. I really enjoy these hybrid pieces. Something I should really give a try again. It's been years.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up withA Stitch in Time!
