A collage of photos showing the early stages and the stencils I used . All layered onto the base card with distress oxide inks.
The bird is a fussy cut Dina Wakley stamped image.
Its a simple layered card trimmed with a ribbon and sentiment that could used for a few occasions.
Thank you for calling in today, your visit is always appreciated.
Gorgeous piece Yvonne, love the delicate colours. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteFun to see a card from you! I've been thinking I need to make some cards again. Was this bird the little sneak peak you showed us a few weeks ago? This card is really beautiful and I love the stenciling. Hugs-Erika

You are SO, SO good with stencils. I am always impressed because you seem to use them with many of your journal and card making ventures. This is adorable, the bird is fabulous and beautifully cut, too. That quote is superb. Each of the elements is great on its own, but the whole is definitely greater than the sum of its parts!!
ReplyDeleteYou say simple, I say breathtaking! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty soft colours. The stencils are layered perfectly to give the impression of depth to the woodland scene and the little bird looks right at home.
