I have been looking through my stored G45 papers and realise that they should be used not just stored in a box. So I decided that I would make this robin into a tag .
You can guess that there would be
my cup of tea close by.
So I can also call in to say hello to friends at.......
where its T stands for Tuesday
and we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post.
I simply cut out my papers, distressed the edges with the blade of the scissors,
adding distress ink round the edges.
I fixed them together with the hessian flower so the layers would move individually.
The second layer as you can see does have some bird eggs and feathers.
This second tag was made using a picture from an old calendar. I may even recycle this tag soon and add it to a journal page as it is much larger in size
to the ones I usually make.
The base was coloured with distress oxides and a bit of random stamping. The flying birds is a stamped image and the other trims came from my stash and bits box.

Both these tags I think will fit the current theme over at
So I will be linking over there.
I have been waiting for a couple of weeks now for these trees on the green beside my home, to show their blossoms. These are the photos I took on Saturday.
The blossom is lovely to see, spring has arrived, when we open the blinds each day it is a lovely sight, sadly it doesn't last that long and we know if there should be strong winds,
it will be blown away.
My last share today is my Calendar pages for April
I wonder what this month will bring as each day arrives.

Thank you for calling in to see me ,
I hope you all have a good day.
Beautiful tag, Yvonne. G45 papers?
ReplyDeleteYou April pages are done already? I'm behind again - as usual (grin).
Happy T-day! Eileen xx
They were Graphics 45 papers Eileen, I have quite a few from years ago, so I must use them.

Hi Yvonne. I love your calendar pages and your tags. But what a great idea to the first tag to use 3 layers! Wow! Great inspiration, my friend. Kisses!
ReplyDeleteI love both of your tags-very pretty. great calender pages, and Ilove your bunny mug-too sweet. we don't have blossoms on the trees just yet-hoping next week
ReplyDeleteHappy T wishes Kathy
what darling tags and I adore the hessian flower:) Cute bunny mug. Not much blossoming here but it's finally beginning. Love the imagery at the bottom right of your April calendar- wondering are they stamps or is it digital... happy T day!
ReplyDeleteThey are stamps on my calendar pages Linda. The bird is a Carabelle stamps and the flowers ALL&create. Then flower stencils over the page.

Those tags are wonderful and your calendar page is gorgeous. I love all the flowers and that cute little bird. The calendar is a real celebration of spring, like your adorable mug and that gorgeous blooming tree. It is so interesting how each of us has our own time for spring, and that time has really nothing to do with our latitudes. Have a wonderful T day Yvonne. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeletewow you've been busy, I love the colour of your tea, very intense.

Magnificent post and stunning designs. I see you really enjoy your time crafting.xxxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautifulG45 inspired tag. Two things stand out for me. First, the distressing around the edge of the top layer and second, the way the second layer is initially hidden behind the first, This is a beautiful and remarkable tag, Yvonne. Your second tag is so unique, but adorable in a completely different way.
ReplyDeleteI am also really impressed with your calendar pages. They really look like springtime has arrived, too. Let me know how easy it is to write over the inked areas, because I'm finding it difficult after using ink for the first time to decorate my own calendar page.
Of course, I had to appreciate the beautiful bunny on your mug of tea. Thanks beyond belief for sharing it along with your wonderful art with us for T this Tuesday.
Love both tags, but that vintage robin tag is wonderful. It's so hard to use those papers, I know. Love your bunny mug, too. The trees are looking great just now, I think we all wait eagerly for spring. Great calendar pages, hope the month will be a good one for you. Happy T Day, and thanks for joining us at TT, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteoh that robin tag ♥! you are so right: use the things - not only store them. the second tag also is beautiful. and i love this calendar, so inviting to fill it with daily notes. happy t-day!
ReplyDeleteYou are so brave to snip into those papers Yvonne, but you have breathed new life into that delightful tag. I love that additional hessian. Happy T-Day Hugs Tracey xx
ReplyDeleteP.S Beautiful Calendar spread x
Your artwork is beautiful. I like the calendar page: it's well done. Lovely spring blossoms on the trees. Happy T-Day!
ReplyDeleteI hadn’t heard of G 45 papers but they are beautiful. I too have stash from many years back. I have everything stored by color so they are mixed old and new. I only know that I haven’t bought any papers since 2012, so everything I have is old. Lol.
ReplyDeleteThe blossoming trees are gorgeous. I always love to see the blossoms.
Happy T Day,
Lisca
Your Tags are really lovely and so are the papers you've used, I'm using stash too, I hate to cut into it but I decided not to buy any more until I've used some! I love your calendar, mine is just a scribbly mess. Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteHave a great week

What fabulous artwork! The tags look amazing and capture spring beautifully, as does the sweet little bunny rabbit on your mug 😁. The little bird on your calender spread looks super cute too sitting amongst the flowers! Thanks for the birthday wishes and Happy T Day! J 😊
ReplyDeleteI love the depth and texture you get with your layering. Lovely spring birds :) Those flowering trees are gorgeous. It is sad they don't last long, but they are such a joy while they're here :) Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteYour spring tag is perfect! I love how you used your G45 paper. I hoard my G45 paper and just can't bring myself to use it. But I love seeing other people's artwork with it. And a very fun journal page.
ReplyDeleteYour trees are beautiful in bloom.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Lovely papers Yvonne and too nice to just sit in a box - something I should tell myself!
ReplyDeleteLove both the tags and your calendar pages will be a pleasure to use, love the quirky stamps in the corner.
Avril xx
I have been sorting out my papers recently and may well be following your example! Your tags are lovely! We have a few blossom trees around and they really are laden this year! I love this months calendar pages! Happy T day! Chrisx
ReplyDeleteWhat an uplifting posting - full of art and life!
ReplyDeleteYour post is giving me Spring fever. I've been looking, but haven't seen any robins yet. Still too cold and snowy. Some flurries expected this morning. Your bunny mug is adorable and the ducks remind me of the Make Way for Ducklings sculpture at the Boston Public Gardens. The flowering trees are so pretty. Hope the weather dudes are wrong and no strong winds so the blossoms will last. Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely Spring tags and pages! simply beautiful, and what a sweet cup of tea too. ;) happy belated T day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blog post bursting with Spring - your 'birds and nests" tags are great . My favourite is the robin one - I really love the feel you created with the hessian embellishment too.
ReplyDeleteTwo really nice collages and a gorgeous planner spread, you are on an artistic roll! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThe vintage papers for the first tag are great - lovely that they are seeing some action at last - and the ducks are so sweet. I love your calendar pages too - those stencilled blossoms sweeping across the page look fabulous.

Two gorgeous tags, Yvonne, I am trying (not very successfully) to use up my stored papers as I usually make my own backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteWhy do we buy so many? Thank you for joining us on Tag Tuesday, much appreciated
Those tags are Gorgeous Yvonne !! I love both, just Amazing both ! Your bunny´s mug is very beautiful, and those trees fabulous. Here spring goes away very quickly, and Summer takes its place.
ReplyDeleteI adore your calender page for April, the birds are lovely!
I wish you a very nice day, big hugs,
Caty
