A real inky page from me today,
sometimes you just need to end the day with green fingers,
have spilled paste on the desk, and had an issue with some tissue paper
that refused to be put where I wanted it to go. Well that all adds up to a lot of fun.
I had the current theme at Art Journal Journey
in mind when I began this spread,
where Chris is hosting.... If you go down to the woods .... is the theme.
On the left is the page, waiting to dry out, embossed with modelling paste through a stencil then water coloured.
The next stage was to add some stamped trees, the large tree on the left and group on the right, also the young couple walking were stamped onto tissue. Stamps are Stampers Anonymous and Sheena Douglas.
I added a bit more colour with distress inks.
Thank you for calling in to see me today, I always appreciate the comments you leave for me.
YES, the NOW is the most important, but we always have to be reminded of this simple fact! We live in planning and thinking...and!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow Yvonne, this is incredible!! The sense of dimension in your forest is crazy amazing! I'm so glad you showed us a process picture, so I could get a glimpse of how you did this! LOVE LOVE LOVE, PINNED! hugs :)

ReplyDeleteYou do just as well getting green ink on your fingers as you do getting the digital art to work for you. This latest entry is simply adorable, and I'm in awe of your stamping abilities. Far, far better than anything I could ever stamp!

ReplyDeleteHugs, Mar
A completely brilliant woodland page Yvonne, you have managed to create so much depth and perspective into it, fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteThis turned out wonderfully. I love how you tell people like me what you have done step by step. When you say tissue, do you mean white tissue paper like we use for wrapping or tissue like Kleenex? You know me...I always am asking questions. But it has paid off. I finally got some distress ink and actually began trying to work with it. Even posted it today and that took LOTS of nerve. Your work is just the best and I love studying it. You should be teaching an online course for old ladies like moi.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful forest in such a beautiful bright green color, because I want to go for a walk! Ulrike
