Diary Day ....week 36... and a Tag

I admit that my weirdness is above the National average.

But I am comfortable with that.

Here are my diary pages for next week.

I added more colour and splashes to an already coloured right hand page adding stencils to cross to the plain side  of the spread. 

Next I stamped the bottle [ALL&Create]  onto tissue paper   eventually found the bird, that I thought would add to the  story.  I don't think the poor thing can believe what it is seeing in the bottle .

Now for a Tag,
its a while since I have entered the  challenge over at
Tag Tuesdays
the theme is Time/Clocks

This is a digital tag on one of my own base tags.
I always seem to be seeking more hours in the day , which brings me to thinking that this in itself,  is not important. Its the passing  moments that are to be valued and cherished.

The Art Exhibition

where I am enjoying  hosting the theme of....A world of Fantasy  this month.

This page has me  wishing I could visit a really exclusive Art Exhibition.... its good to dream.

I like to look around Charity shops for books and was so pleased to come across a  book of the Vienna Collection  Postcards.. I picked out  two by Ludwig Heinrich Jungnichel [Peacock and Insect Pair] The other was fashion by Mela Koehler

I used watercolours and spray paints for the backgound.

Then  I realised that they were far to big

 to fit onto my  A4 page. 

Technology to the rescue, photos taken, reduced the size, add a frame  and ready to hang the works of art.

Now my fantasy world  had me thinking what if some of the Painters models could stop by and see this modern art.

I think  Modigliani's model would have liked them, but not the other two, far to way out and modern for them.

I don't think I am weird , just being adventurous and creating art journal pages that makes me forget what is going on around me in real life. A way to escape reality.

The Secret Garden

'Childhood'

There are lots of ways to interpret this topic, Going to school. Nursery Rhymes, Fairy Stories etc. etc

Please pop over to see what my DT friends have been making.

I always loved reading books and so did my family when they were children, so I have chosen a book for my inspiration.

The Secret Garden by Francis Hodgson Burnett.

The pages in this journal are a shade of cream so I decided to only add some flower stencils for my background.

The cut outs are  from G45 papers and some TH found relatives.

The flowers  are pieces of torn napkins.

I created the labels in the computer.

Its a busy, but happy  month for me,  as a cuppa is nearly always beside me on my desk,  I  remembered  just in time  to get the camera  and take    a photo of my favourite brew so I could call in at

 Bleubeard and Elizabeths

to wish every one  a Happy T day.

We are always made very welcome there with a drink related post.

I think this  spread also fits the theme.... as there is nothing [for me] that can compare with getting comfortable in a armchair,   a  good book, a cuppa close by.  Where you could maybe imagine  the scene and see it in your mind,  as you read the book.

Fairy tales create their own fantasy destinations and stories.

I would have loved to live in one as a child, even today I can picture images
 of these stories in my head.

It  began with a page from my colouring book.

I am lucky to share  time with friends  in an art group at the  library in our next village.

We mainly colour  pages with pencils, markers, crayons ,  as it keeps the mess to a minimum.
Lots of chatting,  cups of coffee and most of all fun.

 I decided to alter the page in the computer art program I use  [notes in my sidebar]
and create a magical  castle. A place of calm,  tranquility  and love,  now that would be a pleasant dream to remember  on waking up. I hope it would have a happy ending as well.

Is what Butch was saying to his friend, while his owner walked him to the park.

High heels, fancy hats and dresses were not his idea of fun. Where did she keep the biscuit treats and his play ball in that outfit?

I know when we walked our dogs, it was strong boots or wellies, jeans and a sweater.

This would have been a sight to behold walking the dog in this gear......pure fantasy.

The page was  another mess, of a background, I had tried to stamp far to early after my arm came out of the splints, but a few paint mop ups later  I I could see a page in the making.

The dog is a TH image and the posh  lady was a peel off out of a Daphne's Diary magazine.

I added a few more colour splashes and some distress ink shading.

The words were computer generated.

A world of Fantasy .....for Art Journal Journey

Hello everyone, I am thrilled  to have been asked by Susi ,

  Bleubeard and  Elizabeth to be their  Guest Hostess for September over at.....

Art Journal Journey

The theme I have chosen is...... 'A World of Fantasy',........

Fantasy, let your imagination fly and have fun. 

 Would it be   a place where your dreams would take you, a destination you would like to visit,

  make believe, strange, odd, peculiar,  fairy land, the list is endless.

This first page  is about  a family outing in the  countryside.  Dad, cannot believe that the children  are telling him they can see the mouse, a  frog.  and a kettle that walks. But they are in their own magical fantasy  world  and having fun

Lets hope he will look closer  and join in .

This is how the page began in my 8 x 8 inch journal.

A bit of random colouring and embossed stencils.

I fussy cut and painted the  stamped  quirky images [Paper Artsy]

The mushrooms , tree, frog mouse and kettle were computer generated.

I am looking forward to seeing where your fantasy and imagination will take you this month.
