Lets Face it....... at Art Journal Journey

'Lets face it'

is our first theme of the year over at Art Journal Journey,

Erika is hosting this month and I hope you will pop over to see  her inspiration, read the

information and background for the theme,

that  she has shared with  us all.

I used a few digital face images for this page,  creating imaginary friends for Elsie  who  is

missing her school friends. Seeing the expressions on their faces

I think they would  all be  happy in each others company.

It is said that  every face has a story to tell and I'm sure these girls will have many as the  years go by.

We are looking forward to seeing your take on this new theme.

Happy New Year to you all.

  1. I'm sure Elsie is missing her friends as much as they are missing her. A real sign of the times, when schools are debating whether to reopen after the holidays or go to online learning. Elsie is so cute. This is an adorable entry, Yvonne and I am truly inspired by it. Thanks for sharing it with us using Erika's new theme at Art Journal Journey,, dear.

  3. Such a lovely take on the theme Yvonne. I think your Elsie is a charming youngster who will be happy with her temporary friends whilst she is not in school. I hope it is only the short holiday that is keeping her away from her real friends and that the threatening new strain of the pandemic is not going to make her absence from school any longer than necessary.
May I take this opportunity to wish you a healthy blessed new year Yvonne.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  6. I had an invisible friend as a child so this page really speaks to me Yvonne. I love her friends faces. They are fun, as is her expression. You are right, I bet she enjoys spending time with them. And maybe getting into a little playful trouble too. I love this idea for day one. Thanks for this great page to start the month, and happy New Year to you Yvonne. I hope it is a good one! Hugs-Erika
