Behind the mask for AJJ.

Lets Face it  at Art Journal Journey

is the theme chosen for us by Erika

I started my page with this group of fussy cut stamped images

and wondered what facial expressions they might have  if they were stood talking to each other..

In  our current times of  mask wearing  to protect each other from the virus so many of our features have been hidden from view.

I had some pop out faces and gave each girl a happy face

and hoped they would enjoy being together talking about how they are looking forward to when they will be free of covering their faces.

Our restrictions are changing in the UK, time will tell if the right decisions have been made.

Stay safe everyone and thank you for stopping by.

  2. Beautiful piece Yvonne, and it is true that we don't see features behind the masks. Have a great weekend, take care! hugs, Valerie

  3. I love this Yvonne. What a creative take on faces. It is interesting how it is hard to know what is going on on people's faces when they wear those masks. My state has no masks mandates except in certain towns. Our governor feels it is up to each town to decide. What a mess. I hope you're having a nice weekend Yvonne and take care. Thanks too for sharing this with us at AJJ. It was wonderful. Hugs-Erika

  4. A fabulous page Yvonne!
I've really missed seeing people's smiles and expressions, but I think it's too soon to relax mask wearing, especially in schools and shops. Being vulnerable means I won't be taking any risks anytime soon either.
    Keep safe,
    hugs,
    Alison

  7. This is a WOW page for me Yvonne. I love how you have used all those colours - the rainbow colours - for your figures and how you have introduced all the colour into your background. This really is a fabulous page and I love how the page changed and the figures all got heads. Oh to be there at night when they come alive and listen to their chatter. Super heads, super bodies and fantastic background. Can you tell I love it?
    Hugs, Neet xx

  8. The story of my life seems to be that I'm running late again. I was so impressed with these women and their colorful faces and bodies. All so very different. I know it's hard to see people's faces behind masks, but I think it is wise to keep them on, even if we have been vaccinated. We have no such requirements in my state. We did at one time, but they got lifted and now we have rising infections and deaths. Such pity this simply won't go away any time soon.
